At this point if you're struggling for a goal it makes sense to continue hitting the ball as hard as you can in to the box and hope it pings up and hits someone's arm. It introduces a huge element of luck and I hate it. Take everything you know about football out of the equation and just think about it objectively. Why should a ball accidentally touching somebody's arm/hand result in a free shot from 12 yards which almost always results in a goal? It's absolutely insane. How can it be good for the sport?
