VARs remit is goals, penalties and serious foul play. It doesn't get involved in issuing yellow cards including dives.

That does seem to significantly limit the possibility that simulation will be penalized.

Yeah it's stupid needs to have the power to issue bookings for blatant dives but then again on the flip side its another tedious break in play that we could all do with out whilst they check replays decide if conact etc
