Md9 Posted 17 September 2020 Posted 17 September 2020 Bale can’t be sat there thinking he wants to go back and play for these 😂
lnkstern Posted 17 September 2020 Posted 17 September 2020 Poor Lincoln Red Imps. Imps 0 - 5 Rangers. The dream is gone. 1

Honestly I think it's hilarious, and also sums up what a farce seeding is, that we're set to be a pot 3 team in this competition. There isn't a single other side in either pot above us that scares me, so bring it on. If we don't make a proper go of the EL I'm going to be bitterly disappointed.
thegaffer9 Posted 17 September 2020 Posted 17 September 2020 It might be in our interest for spurs to limp through the qualifying stages... ...especially if they then get dumped out in the final qualifier, ideally after extra time! North Macedonia next week for Spurs!
irishfoxkev Posted 17 September 2020 Posted 17 September 2020 News on Irish clubs Dundalk 1 up in Andorra....Shamrock Rovers 5 mins in against AC Milan and scoreless....Shame such a big match is behind closed doors
Md9 Posted 17 September 2020 Posted 17 September 2020 how many more qualifiers will spurs need to play until the group?

My guess is he hopes Spurs crashes out of Europa League, so he won't be expected to play as much.
Blue ROI Posted 17 September 2020 Posted 17 September 2020 Ac milan 1 up after 35 minutes after a goal from Zlatan. Shamrock Rovers had an early chance but fluffed it. Not terribly convincing from Milan.

But if people are going to see a screenshot and think it's up to date and it's not might as well. This is the website if you missed it many pages ago, https://kassiesa.net/uefa/seedel2020.html The guy Bert is super fast and already updated for tonight. Purple is the 20 other teams that have qualified for the group stage. Yellow are the ones that can lose their way in from the Champions league. Thursday, 10 teams are in action that are expected to make the group stage. They are the clubs with * or ** after them and Astana. (Not *3 so no PSV or Sporting) These clubs all have coefficients of 22 and above. The bookies have a couple of close matches, most notably BATE is a tossup with CSKA Sofia. There are a couple scary clubs on the wrong side of the main path draw with Standard Liege, FCSB, Granada, AC Milan, AEK, and Rangers if you're hoping for them. Remember this is a coefficient always wins projection, the bookies might have other favorites. So BATE and Astana both go out this round, so we can move up a couple of rankings. A couple of other teams in a bit of bother too.
irishfoxkev Posted 17 September 2020 Posted 17 September 2020 Dundalk have won so they are thru but worse news for Shamrock Rovers now 2 nil down against Milan
Blue ROI Posted 17 September 2020 Posted 17 September 2020 Our former youth team player Dylan Watts introduced as a sub for Shams. Has done alright.

Freeman's Wharfer Posted 17 September 2020 Posted 17 September 2020 Have any qualifiers been played in front of fans? I’ve made peace with the fact we won’t be getting any European away days unless we reach the knockouts (and possibly not even then) but would be nice to get to at least one home tie.
FoyleFox Posted 17 September 2020 Posted 17 September 2020 (edited) It's really useful seeing the pots updated, thanks @NewEnglandFox Edited 17 September 2020 by FoyleFox
NewEnglandFox Posted 17 September 2020 Posted 17 September 2020 (edited) 2 upsets tonight pushing us up 2 spots in pot 2. BATE going down put Standard Liege on the good side of the draw. Astana went down as well but as the projection shows that Sheriff replaces them for now, Friday's draw is more important. Welcome to the champions path playoff: where the 2 best teams and the 2 worst teams can face each other. So I expect us to jump up at least a spot in the draw which will happen when 22+ coefficient teams face each other. Purple: In Group Stage Green: League Path Yellow: qualifies by losing Champions League Unhighlighted: Champions Path, will change massively with tomorrows draw. Honestly, the more the pandemic drags on, the more I can actually make peace with us having fluffed UCL. Don't get me wrong, you'd still far rather be in it. But let's be real - no fans for most round, limited capacity at best for the season and (more than likely) no away days permitted kind of blows any enthusiasm one could have for it. Liverpool just looked silly celebrating their title in an empty stadium, and while I don't doubt their fans are delighted to be champions, it really dampens the experience if fans can't be present. So yeah, Europa weirdly kind of 'works' for me this year. We still get a competition against new opposition, and one I feel we could actually do well in. But the lower level of prestige means I'm personally less bothered about not being able to attend games (though admittedly I'd have been at as many as possible had we been able to go). The only real bummer is, again, those away day adventures to destinations arguably far more interesting than the usual suspects in the Champions League. Besides, if we have a proper go and (as I believe we are capable of doing) win this tournament, then we can be in the UCL next season, hopefully with the world getting back to normal. One can dream. 9
