Fed up to the back teeth of lazy journalism and tabloid speculation.  Tony Cascarino makes some silly jibe on talkshite and both the Leicester Mercury and

the Daily Express pick up on it and all of a sudden Soyuncu is off to Utd.

There is no way we will let him go.

City have to stop selling our star players to our competitors.  You know the old saying.....Where there is smoke, there is fire !

We don't know if there is any truth in the latest story regarding Caglar Soyuncu.

If Man. Utd do come after him, I hope we tell them, if they want him then stump up £200million or piss off!!!

The media are now quoting £80m as the figure we sold McGuire for & Soyuncu is worth at least double that cos he's twice the player that McGuire is & that's not sour grapes!

We sold maguire... and utd edged us out of the cl places... they made the money back right there.  Selling chilly to Chelsea was mad... should have sold him overseas

Don't think them having Maguire helped them finish above us . More like we shot ourselves in the foot regardless of us selling him to United.

We’ve spent the whole transfer window trying to find a CB and have been linked to almost every likely player in Europe. It finally looks like we’ve got one. A good prospect, but will probably need time and patience given his age and inexperience.

So, after all that, we’d consider selling CS and have Evans and Fofana backed up by Fuchs, Benkovic, Morgan and Amartey? It’s not going to happen or, if it did, it would redefine the dictionary definition of madness

Chilwell's value is mostly in his nationality - he's only really valuable to English clubs. Even if there had been interest from abroad, do you really believe we'd have got anything even close to £50m for him? It's also likely the case that we had to get his sale done quickly in order to raise funds for signings.

Selling Chilwell to Chelsea for £50m was a fantastic bit of business. Very good price for a limited player and allowed us to bring in the vastly superior Castagne with £30m to spare.

Of course it's not going to happen. This isn't even an actual rumour. It's just a story about the fact that an ex pro said on the radio the other day that Man Utd should sign Soyuncu to solve their defensive problems. It has no more weight than if a couple of our fans were drinking in a pub in Oadby and one said to the other, "You know what? I reckon we should sign that Mbappe from PSG. He could do a job for us." That's literally how much substance it has.

Why do some of you lot allow yourselves to get so upset and wound up by talksport sky sports etc. It’s a media product designed to appeal to the biggest market possible. Eg top six clubs and their fans. If you don’t like it that much then don’t listen

Absolutely rattled after Fat Head sale. "Leicester Bastards" love it

Thanks. That was very interesting. I didn't really find it funny. I just couldn't believe what I was reading. I don't expect the average Man Utd to be very knowledgable about football in general, let alone other clubs' players, but a lot of that was really staggering. Shocked how many thought Soyuncu is slow. One said slower than Lindelof and Maguire! How is an opinion like that formed? Pure guesswork? Amazing how few of them recognise what a talent he is. It's wishful thinking, but I just hope the scouts of clubs rich enough to afford him are just as blind and stupid.

One person said "Yes let's get tricked into overspending on another Leicester defender." Tricked! We bamboozled Woodward and Man Utd into handing over £80m for Slabhead, apparently. Funny how it didn't work on anyone else.
