With the money issues they are having I can't see them spending that much on him and I imagine we would probably want more for him anyway, interesting that it comes out after all the news the other day about our interest in Trincao, swap deal?

I'd be really concerned at losing Soyuncu, for whatever kind of money, the defence would look pretty fragile without him in terms of quality and depth. He's unsellable at this point imo.

We're already looking to bolster central defence. I can't see us letting go of such a valuable player without a fight.

I wouldnt be interested at 40m euros but he is swiftly becoming overrated and I dont think he's irreplaceable. That said replacing first-team players is a big risk for us now so unless an outrageous offer comes in we shouldn't entertain the idea.

His pace makes him one of the most promising centre halves in the world. I honestly don't think there's many quicker. He's what all the top sides would like to allow them to defend high.

 

His form dropped off in the 2nd half of the season, like many of ours but those first 15-20 league games he was colossal. I'd not sell for anything less than Maguire money.

Yeah I remember reading something similar. Still if Barca come knocking with a few we find alluring, I doubt he’d mind swapping the delights of Leicester and the English weather for Catalonia   I do hope he stays though. As mentioned by @Muzzy_Larsson his pace is outstanding and he is a fine footballer.

He reminds me a lot of Puyol so not surprised they're interested. Weren't they also interested when he left Turkey to move to Freiburg but Cags chose Freiburg because he wanted to gain experience? Sure I read that somewhere but I could be going mad!

Problem is if they actually make a bid he'll surely want to force a move, it's Barcelona, the elite of the elite any player would jump at the chance and you can't really blame them.
