I think it's because Southgate struggles with anyone who has a modicum of personality. Hence why Madders doesn't get a look-in. If you're a boring 'safe' player then you're in.

All starting. I'd say you couldn't write it, but it's becoming more and more predictable.

 

Grealish, Sancho, and Ings should all be starting. Eric Dier continues to baffle me. How does he still get games for Spurs and England? What does he actually offer? All I ever notice him doing is committing fouls.

This team selection is just terrible, no creative players in midfield at all and several right backs for no reason

As always the biggest problem is being unable to control a game in midfield. Defence will always let us down. International football is hard for consistency but we seen to chop and change far too much.

hes bang average, the team selection are incredibly questionable, said he'd pick of form .....but yeah that went out the window quick, when Mount is in instead of Grealish
