You’d hope that if he was off we’d be a bit stronger as a club and try and push him somewhere in Europe rather than letting him take the piss out of us playing against us for another team in England.

I was so paranoid about this I actually went and had a look at the original photos of the team lifting the cup. In many Youri is missing, but in a couple you can see him - he's directly behind Kasper and Wes. The angle of the one outside the ground is one of those where he can't be seen. It's no coincidence that Vardy also can't be seen in many of the stock photos online and is missing from the photo outside the ground.

Apparently he is not athletic,fast, physical and doesn't press. Its strange then that clubs would want to pay so much money for him. Players like Tielemans are not all-round footballers, neither were Pirlo or Scholes. They see things that other players don't . Their brains are always three steps in front. They break deadlocked matches and for that reason are as rare as diamonds.

Rewatch the clips, especially when Top comes on. Youri is in tears as he hugs him, looks beyond elated. 
 

You can’t say he’s not gonna go because it’s never certain, especially these days. But he clearly loves it here. Gives me a lot more confidence he’ll be round a while longer yet.

Indeed. And another thing: even if Youri WAS leaving, would the club be so mean-spirited to photoshop him out of a picture of us lifting the FA Cup? That's a celebration of one of the best moments in our history - one that Tielemans was instrumental in creating. They're not going to just airbrush him out of it because he might be leaving.

 

This is just daft paranoia and I'm ashamed I let myself get sucked into it :P

You can't possibly know who is or isn't interested in Youri, or how much they are willing to pay. It's just media conjecture at this point.

I don’t blame you, that’s what a lifetime of Leicester does to you mate :D

 

Youri strikes me differently compared to the other young lads in the squad, a bit more discipline and a bit more humility. He doesn’t strike me as a Chilwell character to jump on the first good offer, especially when he’s doing well and winning trophies. He was the same when excelling at Anderlecht, took him years more to leave than he could have if he took the first big offer he had. 
 

Him and Ndidi may be here a lot longer than some would think, in my (admittedly shite) opinion.

You are right ,I don't know. There is too much paranoia on here at the moment , everybody should calm down. We are doing pretty good right now and I don't see any reason why that shouldn't continue. Even if both Tielemans and Rodgers left I wouldn't change my thinking on that.

If Tielemans is not in this image its poor by whoever chose it not to include the player who scored the only goal

There must have been many to choose from so why this one

I don't believe its telling us anything regarding his future but that mainly because I really can't contemplate a future without our player of the season

Wes Morgan was amazing for us, but never 'good enough' for the top, top clubs. Youri could play for the very best. I think, realistically, the best case scenario is get him on a new big contract, keep hold of him for 2 more years and then he gets his big move.

I'd genuinely be so proud to see Youri go to a Bayern or Barcelona and just run their midfield. 

 

Ideally, he extends for 2 years, we sell him in 2022/23 for stupid money and repeat.

Make him captain and offer him the big bucks on the longest deal he will agree to IMO. Will make it a harder choice for him to leave in the future, unless a big club comes knocking and can give him a leadership role on top of a bigger paycheque.
