Saw CU last Sunday for the first time. Today then 45 minutes. He had a great chance to score, otherwise he was quite invisible.

I am afraid he will not solve Foxes problem on the wing.
His YouTube video was very promising, but the reality looks different...

The fella is way off being fit .....do you think you should delay making a firm call until he has got himself fit and had a few months to come to terms with the pace of the prem ??

Don’t be daft, some players have tits get over it.

Games coming thick and fast, I'd expect him to be peak fitness by the middle of November at the latest. Will do well for us, we are the perfect club for him to rediscover his form.

After reading some of the posts in here, I’m suggesting that after a loss by 3 or more goals we lock all threads for 48 hours lol some absolute ridiculous talk.

Haha no. He’s the one that wins the ball then wallops it at his team mate at the start. Quite hard to give him much credit for the goal

I'm regularly fed up of hearing "scapegoat" and whatnot but if people are having genuine digs at him already then crikey. That is genuinely a low.

Yes, it was Cengiz.

Soyuncu was rested for the coming 2 games (playing for points).

This was just a friendly match and the CBs were Demiral (needs playing time coming from injury) and Kaan Ayhan who had not many appearances as of late but scored 2 goals against France in the Euro qualifications.

Both Germany and Turkey didn't start with best 11 possible, many changes on both sides.

The games against Russia and Serbia (with points) Soyuncu will start.

In the following Video Cengiz is the guy who touched the ball 2 times.

This player isn't good for Leicester or any other premier league team, he belongs to turkish league level.

I disagree.

He is good enough to have a lasting impact in Leicester squad.

I see many similarities to Arjen Robben in his 1-dimensional approach to move from the outlines into center and seeking to score a goal with a distance shot. Just wait as you'll see Cengiz appearing on the score sheet soon enough.

If he ever reaches the level of Arjen time will tell. In my opinion Cengiz is most comparable to Arjen Robben almost identically to Arjen Robben in times of Bayern Munich. He has the same skill-set.

But, Cengiz is not an exceptional talent like Emre Belozoglu who you know from Premier League.

Cengiz has not the class of Emre.

Cengiz is not a wonder-kid, but a player who can reach good international class, no opponent fans in the stadium will ever stand-up to give standing ovations to Cengiz, that's some privilege only true wonderkids witness. Arjen Robben didnt't have that privilege also.

So don't get fooled by Turkish posters who call Cengiz a wonderkid, he's not, but he can be beneficial for Leicester nevertheless.

Turkey didn't have many wonderkids: Hakan Sükür, Nuri Sahin (unti his injuries past Dortmund), Arda Turan (Athletico Madrid times).

In present Turkish football there's no aspirant for wonderkid title (maybe Ozan Kabak, Schalke 04, aged 20 can turn into world-class status something on the level like Emre Belozoglu). I don't even consider Soyuncu world-class, because world-class for me means standing the test against past players. In CB position for example it is test against players like Desailly, Nesta, Cannavaro etc.. Cengiz will never be considered one of the greatest in football history, just compare Cengiz to Luiz Figo (Portugal) or Mehmet Scholl (Germany) and you'll see he'll not be considered one of the greatest in his position.

The worst outcome is we lose the 3 million loan fee and sign someone else in the next window.

I get that with brand new signings need to 'adjust to the pace of the prem', but it grinds on me when people are still saying it once the player has been in a team for months.

Not sure the relevance of this, just had to get it off my chest.

That wasn’t Cengiz touching the ball 2 times in that video as Cengiz is the one standing behind him on the corner of the 18 yard box

True. but in this case he has played only 30 mins or so for us in a game where the whole team were having an off day, only a few days after arriving and little chance to acclimatise.

We should reserve judgement until after christmas when he has had a chance to settle, train properly with the squad etc. Then we might be able to form a rational decision on his value/potential based on what he has actually delivered or not. (but then again this is FT where we make our minds up before a player has actually kicked a ball for us and no matter what the evidence put before us will never deviate from that position.)

I'd be more than happy with Bayern era Arjen Robben!
