But I think it would be all about him. Vardy gets a lot of attention but you still feel he's under the radar, to an extent.

Genuinely there is no argument that Messi is the best player of this era but Vardy brings his story, personality, aggression, raw pace to his game which imo is as exciting as football gets. Also to have Vardy since we started our meteroic rise is another factor which makes him a legend alongside the likes of Kasper and Morgan.

I can't imagine Messi's heart would really be in it and they're both at potential retirement age so we'd probably be better off sticking with the one who seems genuinley eager to be here.

Right now Messi is on the decline anyway and so not a chance. Few years ago I’d stick with Vardy but it would be through the heart, now it’s not even a question.
Vardy 100% every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Both are completely different players. They both play differently for starters.

 

Vardy for us is just godlike but it’s also his journey, and our journey with him too, that makes him so special to us. He is irreplaceable for what he’s done and still does for us.

 

That being said, I don’t imagine for the Barca fans this is a hard choice though. Why wouldn’t you want Messi here?  His skill and vision are nigh on unparalleled and he can literally drag a team to win a league or European cup.
