Absolute killer ennit. Pints (some of the best beer you'll ever taste) were 25p in some places when I went. Gorgeous city to boot too.

It'll be Pilsner Urquell, Staropramen and Budvar in front of the box this time instead though no doubt. :(

It’s an unreal city isn’t it. Lots of people say it’s expensive but after going twice I never paid more than 3 euro for a pint. Lots to do, would recommend it to any couple or stag/hen party. Decent flight there as well.

Was wondering if old 'uns, like me , could get me jabs, and club could open part of the ground if you've got a certificate? Clubs must be planning some kind of transition to full attendance.

That's some turnaround from the lock down 1.0 post about how old people should be made to isolate to allow the young 'uns a "normal life"

To this, Brendan rodgers grandad army!

(note to self: all people are inherently selfish, won't somebody please think of the white middle aged man 😱

Not a bad draw considering who else we could have got.

Fixtures around the knockouts:

13th Feb - Liverpool (H)

18th Feb - Prague (a)

21st or 22nd Feb - Villa (a)

25th Feb - Prague (H)

28th Feb or 1st March - Arsenal (H)

Very winnable tie!

Around a tough schedule though... mind depending if there's a manager change at Arsenal can't see that being difficult tie.

Why do people honestly think we should be making headlines ahead of Manchester United and Arsenal? You're either being deliberately obtuse, or delusional. Who cares anyway?

Depends whether you are talking about brands or competitive sport? :dunno:

Basically all clubs (so first team, second team and youth teams) who are based at Slavia Prague’s training ground have stopped playing for approx 14 days.

Much like Newcastle recently here but worse

Wow - I did think that's what you meant but a brief Google was not forthcoming with details.

24th rated out of the 32 team in the betting at 200/1.

If this wasn't a decent draw then what were people expecting? Any team who has got this far has already finished in the top two of the Europa Cup group so no one left are complete mugs.

Just looking at their squad it's mostly Czech players 25+, if they were that good they still wouldn't be playing in the Czech league. I think it's fair to say not one of their players gets in our first XI. They would struggle to get a couple of players on our bench.

It's a good draw, our biggest buy in the summer was a £30m CB, there's was a £1m CB. Not saying we get through no bother at all but we should do given the gulf between the two clubs.

Not sure the bookies are the best ones to use when working out if a team is better or not. 5000-1 springs to mind...

Of course on paper we need to get through. But on paper Man City should have beat us. On paper we should have beat Fulham. On paper we should have beaten Zorya away (even with some fringe players). Let's not underestimate them, as I say not the worst draw (could have been Benfica, Sociedad etc.) but it is not the most favourable. Let's get a good result away from home first.

I'm not underestimating them, any team that has got into the last 32 is capable of beating anyone over 180 mins if things go there way.

You said it wasn't a good draw for us, I'm saying it was a decent draw for us because we avoided teams who are capable of winning the tournament like Benfica and Sociedad. They're rated as one of the poorer teams left according to the bookies which is usually a very good indicator. Of course you can point at an anomaly like us winning the PL at 5,000/1 but how many previous 5,000/1 shots went before us and got nowhere.

If it's a bad draw I'd be interested to know what teams would have been a better draw for us?

If I had a choice of draw I would have probably picked Molde, Maccabi Tel Aviv or Wolfsberger AC. As I say, it's not a bad draw at all but maybe not "ideal". I just felt that a lot of people were underestimating the team. We have to be careful. I would be disappointed not to go through but we have to turn up for both games. THe other problem of course is that the games are 2 months away, a lot could happen injury wise in those 2 months (either side). Fingers crossed we have had our rough patch already...
