Popular Post CrazyKopCorner Posted 14 September 2025 Popular Post Posted 14 September 2025 You can't talk highly enough of Ricardo ability, attitude, commitment, leadership by example and sheer quality. A Muzzy like influence on the team. 11
Popular Post Brizzle Fox Posted 14 September 2025 Popular Post Posted 14 September 2025 Comfortably our best and most important player. However as he's made of Quavers it must be a nightmare for any manager to properly manage his game time. Should play 90 mins every week but we know that's not really possible. 4 2

Yep.. id start him take the lead and then bring Hamza on to see the game out. We are really going to struggle to play Martis style if we start with 2 full backs like Thomas and Hamza who dont overlap or contribute to the attack. 6

Seems like it although the way we controlled the ball under Enzo meant that he managed a lot of playing time that season. 1

Think kristanson suits martis style better, Trouble is he is pony at defending 1

Aluko has the defensive capabilities and the ability to carry and dribble the ball that we need at fullback. Edited 14 September 2025 by honeybradger 3
VLC86 Posted 14 September 2025 Posted 14 September 2025 Not sure i mentioned it here or not but a few weeks ago I said he easily scores 10 If he stays fit all season. Marti likes attacking fullbacks and he is the best in the league by a country mile.

Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 19 September 2025 Posted 19 September 2025 What an honest professional he is, I would imagine he’s a great person to have around and has always respected the club. Id like to see him start more games but he’s doing well as an impact substitute. I think he’s key to the spirit in the squad. 2
Stadt Posted 17 October 2025 Posted 17 October 2025 His deal is up at the end of the year. Should offer him a year with a club option to extend for a further year now - even if he can only play 50% of th minutes it's worth having him around if the wages aren't too unreasonable. We've been great to him given his injuries.
Jobyfox Posted 17 October 2025 Posted 17 October 2025 In terms of LCFC right backs is he the GOAT? In my years watching the team (since 1986) I think he is 1

In terms of ability/impact, peak Ricardo is at number 2 all time for me behind Kante (don't worry, Vardy is quite clearly still the GOAT in terms of Leicester players but I think those 2 guys were better footballers, just got nothing on him in terms of longevity, backstory and the full journey). If he hadn't got crocked, no way he wouldn't have been playing for the big boys now. He's a shadow of the player he was but still has so much class and you see flashes of where he's a cut above most players, and I'm talking about playing in the PL as well.

daddylonglegs Posted 17 October 2025 Posted 17 October 2025 It cannot be exaggerated how good he was prior to that leg breaker at Anfield (yellow card by the way). Assuming we'd have been able to keep hold of him (Highly unlikely) - if he had stayed fit 2021-2023, absolutely no chance do we get relegated.
Gloria Posted 17 October 2025 Posted 17 October 2025 I assume his injuries are why we still have him, otherwise he'd easily have moved on and up to regular CL football. Great pro. Seems a nice guy. Isn't a ***** like some former captains that spring to mind 😜

Although I think you could argue that Justin's best games were at leftback. Also his drop off goes against him.
