Goes to show the difference in intensity level between the premier league and the championship. It’s such a shame because prior to his first ACL, he was unplayable. He must be absolutely gutted with how his career has gone since.

Insurance policies usually cover  a part of wages, not all of them.

He is streets ahead of virtually all the rest in terms of touch and movement. Quickens our play hugely when he is involved.

I got the impression that is what happened. Didn’t Vardy pass on the baton or was that just for the rest of the game and not a symbolic gesture?

Exactly this. With a likely huge turnover of players. Or being stuck with those that don't want to be here. Sulking about. He's the one with experience and leadership I'd like to see stay. If we have to field a young side I'd like to see Ricky as one of the key older personnel

he's the current vice-Captain so when Vardy went off with him on the pitch it was always going to him

Said in another thread that having players to relate to at the club would be a good start. Pereira is probably the only one out of the remaining lot this season that I can relate to. And probably the only decent player we have left when we were good under Rodgers.

 

Probably too old and injury prone to 'build the squad around' but he's definitely worth keeping if he's willing to stay. He should be our captain going forward.

Love him to be captain. Technically hes the best player at the club.when fit hes a top player who gives his all and seems to care. 

Think Vardy passed the baton to him when he came off vs ipswich.

Why can't the club come out with a statement that apologises and gives us some hope for the future at least. If there is a time to rally the troops, then this is it. Let's have a bit of defiance, bloody mindedness, a siege mentality. Might be hard to swallow but gives us something to latch on to.

There’s no questioning his devotion to the club as well as ours to him. I’d love to keep him but not if his wages don’t reflect his injuries and also the level we’ll be playing at
