Maddison, Perez and Choudhury Covid breach confirmed - Percy

Can you tell me thes 6 or 7 season defining games please?

Sure

2019/20

Liverpool home - League

Aston Villa home and away - Carabao Cup

Chelsea home - FA Cup

Bournemouth away - League

Manchester United home - League

2020/21

Manchester United home - FA Cup

West Ham away - League

We didn’t even turn up for the games we lost there - it’s not like we played well and lost, they were all insipid performances.

If you were being generous you could add wins over an out-of-form mid-table Arsenal in November last season, Sheff United at home after lockdown and an out-of-form Chelsea at home this season.

If you were being mean-spirited you can add virtually every game after lockdown last season, the Prague games this season, the countless opportunities we’ve had to move away from our rivals for the top 4 in both seasons.

That we’ve got ourselves into this position that we’re even talking about this is an incredible achievement and one Rodgers deserves huge respect for. But we clearly have a problem taking the final step or at least decisive steps.

Lot of over reactions in this thread, understandable after gift wrapping our rivals another win.

Exactly! He's not a child that needs to be sent to his room. If he wants to do something that's now essentially a day off, then that's up to him. He'll be fined and had his suspension, bollocking of his team mates and back for Southampton, end of thread.

The casino thing was that big of deal, he got slated by the media... compare that to Foden and Greenwood nothing was mentioned.

Maddison was dropped for going around going do you know who I am to girls in the club 🤦‍♂️

Is anyone really surprised by Maddison? The guy is a ****. Good footballer but hes always come across as a willy puller https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/7076244/leicester-star-james-maddison-boasted-of-7k-weekly-pay-before-his-friend-punched-a-stranger-court-is-told/amp/

Wow, that means there's been two incidents. The one I was discussing was on a night out in Leicester, he got chinned that night as well lol

well I think the problem is we could really have used them this game and it could have potentially been a different scoreline with them in the side..

I mean, if we miss out on top 4 by 1-2 points..

This may well be the case, but it’s a disciplinary matter for the club and they are handling it. The only reason we know about it, is because they’ve taken action. So let’s allow it to happen and let those in full knowledge of the facts make the decisions based on a bit more than emotion.

Let the club decide what action to take and back them. Stop being a self righteous twat.

I wouldn’t go so far as to say that they should be sacked but to leave the team short in such an important game when we are already without key players is a bit cvnty imo

Except it's not really a day off, is it? He should've been available to do his job today.

So if you got put on gardening leave you’d just sit at home 9 hours a day doing nothing because you ‘should’ be available to work?

If this is true, get rid. Maddison is a great player but honestly he's not indespensible, this is not the first time he has done something stupid, but under the circumstances we are in at the moment this is just ridiculous.
sell them and move on, people up and down the country would die to put the shirt on, then you have people like these 3 who know the rules, and know they will be dropped yet still do whatever they want. I've seen rumours today that Maddison went golfing, not sure if that's true or not as only seen pictures of his car alledgedly at a golf club car park today. But it's clear he has a lot of growing up to do.

His England career is hanging on by a thread, there are plenty of players in his position who are currently better than him, and he does something stupid like this, frankly he does not deserve to go with England and it would serve a very good lesson for him.
I've got faith in our scouts to find someone to replace him, you're not bigger than the club.

maddison is jekel and hyde isn't he

the affable well spoken young man who does interviews after great performences

and then their is the tricks and flicks, arrogance and adhd boredom off the field. their is always a slight sense he doesnt love the game as much as he should do with his talent

all a bit sad really

In fairness this wouldn't have been a major problem if he played for Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool or Spurs. Maguire, Walker, Grealish etc have all walked a tightrope  the last year or so but all was forgiven and forgotten of course.

Southgate being a lemon and well...Maddison being one right now are almost separate things.

Exactly what I’m saying mate  , footballers are on human like all of us , but my gripe is ( when you’ve trained alll week and been coached by Brendan & the lcfc staff ) then throw it away by going on the pxss , it’s very unprofessional and disrespectful to our Great team who we love

Anyone else probably would be sat at home abit worried and concerned for their job, yes.

But we're talking about a footballer here so what he's done is totally expected.

I agree, I’m not trying to down play what they’ve done or at least the bits we know. I just think the club are in full knowledge and will take appropriate action. Some people are going in too strong because they are annoyed about the result.

Ever driven 31 in a 30 zone?

We should be wondering why Caglar tested positive while supposedly in a bubble

Such a bad time to make such a bad mistake

Why on earth is anyone even trying to defend this? These are top professionals earning more money than most of us could dream of.

They’ve let us down big time here

I'd keep my head down whilst the issue was still live and relevant, yes. If I was "suspended" from work from breaching regulations I wouldn't head down to the pub, for instance, during work hours whilst colleagues who have kept to the rules are doing their job.

Not really, you’d try and either do something productive or go and do something you enjoy to take the stress off.

Maddison has probably gone and played a round of golf to let off some steam to help him get his head in the right place. I’d rather he did that rather going out on the piss again.

Lot of outrage on foxestalk is nothing new.

But for once nearly all are in agreement and it's hard to say it's not justified.

The anger is justified, I should be more clear.

People wanting the players out of the club are over reacting :)

understandable, i think the anger is coming from our result. Had we won the mood would be a lot more forgiving.

A friend of a friend has spotted Maddison at Kibworth today. The least the **** could do is watch the game. Not surprised though

Probably watched it in a pub with a group of mates

It doesn't matter what anyone says you do treat players differently depending upon their value to you. That's just a fact of life. Do people honestly think we'd have fired Dennis Wise all those years ago if he was any good instead of being a 30+ year old has been?

It could be a long way back for Perez and Hamza here because they are not all that anyway. But Maddison is way too important to us, both on the pitch and in terms of future market value.

I remember the Dallas Cowboys early 90's Superbowl winning team releasing a bottom of the roster player for falling asleep in a team meeting. Later the same week their head coach Jimmy Johnson was asked by the media what he would have done if it had been his star quarterback Troy Aikman who had fallen asleep. He replied, "I'd have walked over to Troy while nobody was looking, given him a nudge, and whispered 'Wake up Troy'.".
