Maddison, Perez and Choudhury Covid breach confirmed - Percy

With respect I don't think you really get defining games or points at the start of the season do you.

You have to get to a point or stage for it to become defining.

But wasn't Brighton away a defining game when we'd just lost numerous key players and having lost a few recent games it was a huge concern we were about to unravel. Then the Man Utd Cup game or the Brighton cup game before it or when 1 down vs Liverpool at home with 20 mins to go?

If he really was out rather than watching his teammates trying to cover for him then I’m really not sure about his mentality .....

It really does seem that he doesn’t give a shit. Very disappointed in his attitude. Honestly, if a decent offer comes along I really think we should sell and roll the dice on someone else.

Employers don’t have a right to control your free time. If they have given Maddison free time then its up to him what he does with it as long as it doesn’t break any more Government restrictions.

Slippery slope if we start advocating for employers to give us permission on what we do with our time outside of work.

What ? I assume that this was also a breach of Government guidelines too so there is the fall out from that and there is a requirement in any employer/ employee to abide by laws in or out of work .

Also by extension if you take recreational drugs in your own time outside work then that doesn’t breach your terms of employment ?

Maddison comes across well in media interviews. However he has a certain arrogance about him. But in general, what pisses me off is that whilst the rest of us have suffered hardships during all this, these privileged sods have carried on unhindered earning a massive wedge in the process. It’s a disgrace and personally I hope they’re fined at least 2 weeks income.

It shouldn’t be his free time. He was meant to be playing football but cos he’s a massive **** he wasn’t. The least you can do when you’ve been a **** and therefore aren’t doing the job you’re paid to do is to sit at home with your head down.

No it shouldn’t be his free time but the club have decided it is. He’s probably been told by some of the staff to go and play a round or do something to take his mind off not playing so he’s in a better frame of mind when he comes back to the squad.

I mean its conjecture but at the minute a lot of this thread is.

Golf clubs have been open for a few weeks now.

Where on earth has the drugs comment come from? Massively reaching there...

I recall after the casino incident, he commented that he hates watching games he should be playing in .......

he should have made an exception today ......

Or could have just stayed at home. He didn't have to watch it.

It's a poor managing of the situation.

Yes.

But in the context you were asking what the 6 or 7 defining games were from last season and this, I think 5 of the ones I listed were from last season, which were disappointing games and led to us falling out from where we'd been all season.

I listed 2 from this season only one of which was truly defining, Prague which was defining dumping us out of Europa league.

I also mentioned today which tbh remains to be seen if its defining, likewise so do the positive results you've picked out.

Given what we've seen previously I think the concern are valid.

This shouldn't really be being discussed in this thread anyway, totally off subject.

I think this needs to be nipped in the bud as soon as possible.

Let them be disciplined internally. Let them face the music from Rodgers/the club. It's important we don't let something off the field derail the season.

Rodgers says they'll be back next week and available for that game so the line has clearly been drawn under the incident and it's important everyone moves on from it. Including us as fans.

Whether you rate the player or not is irrelevant. It's not the world's worst thing done but it's the principle of breaking the club rules which is the worst thing about it.

If the club, Rodgers and the players can get over this incident, then we can and should. We shouldn't let this take over the headlines, the worst thing for the club is to be distracted by social media or news headlines and to have that derail the season.

You know, I'm not even bothered if Maddison went to play golf. If he comes back and helps us get top 4 and FA Cup then he can be forgiven. For all we know we've probably just given him the choice to take the weekend off and do what he wants. Him taking some time out doesn't need to be made in to that serious a thing either.

You can have a party with 6 mates, I had one the other day. Where it strays from the rules is if it gets a bit chilly and you decide to go inside after a few beers.

There was more than 6 there apparently acording to rumours 5 were Leicester players

It’s almost like we were just doing a little too well when suddenly someone remembered we we’re Leicester City and this is not how it’s meant to be and we need a way of throwing a spanner in the works.

I get people are saying they’re applauding the club’s reaction and Brendan’s decision to drop them and whilst I applaud their stance, do you think any of our rivals for a CL spot would have just swept this under the carpet ?

I get the anger. But no way are any of them leaving on the cheap.

Should be interesting in training next week.:) Nothing like a little drama to spice things up.

It was widely reported a few weeks ago I mean probably the press making a meal but it was out there and has been taken as fact by a lot of people (me inc).

I can assure you it's not true.

I'm LITERALLY going over the outline of my upcoming wedding that the registrar sent us as we speak and am currently looking at the line "you may now kiss the bride".

Well Choudhury is but that’s a reflection of his football ability rather than this incident

If Maddison was playing golf during the game, to me at least, it seems the action of a player who knows he’s off during the summer, or has been told he is being sold. Bizarre behaviour, if true.

Celebrities do this on purpose so that in this case there won't be any city fans annoying them.

Been too angry to comment about this so far. But sadly it’s the reason why these lads (and the likes of Grealish) will not become top top players.

Such an important game and the prep thrown out the window and very disruptive. Credit to the lads who made a fight out of it in the last 20 mins and nearly salvaged something today.

Maddison and Perez in particular certainly have something to prove next week.
