Well done Brentford. They're not going to set the league on fire imo but will be a nightmare to beat with forwards who will bully defenses who aren't willing to get stuck in.

Brentford on the other hand were very enjoyable to watch. Get the ball into their two strikers and break with quality. Much prefer watching a team with two upfront. I know it sounds Mike Bassett.

Brentford look like a class club. They actually remind me a bit like us! Hard to dislike, top bloke as a manager, some iconic players.

 

Well done to them! Can they stay up? Based on that yes they can! I think the tougher teams for them to play will probably be the more physical teams like Burnley, West Ham to a degree. But those sort of teams are fading away in the top flight so it might work in their favour. They remind me of Norwich when they came back up two seasons ago, but they seem to have more quality.

 

All that said, it is unbelievable how far Arsenal have fallen. Hard to imagine the Wenger era after a performance like that. So many poor players in that lineup.

Can you really blame them? First Prem game, first top flight game since 1948, first full house in their new stadium, first points in the Prem, and for virtually all of them their first game in person for 17 months. I think they’re allowed to feel pretty good about themselves truth be told

Arsenal don't play as a team at all.  Just a bunch of individuals.  A couple of flair players with no end product.

 

Most importantly a manager who cannot manage.  I say keep him

Forget the fact it was Brentford’s first game since the war, it was a rubbish match. Little skill on show and no goal mouth incidents. Arsenal were disgraceful, championship standard game and they got outfought. 
 

Was at QPR two weeks ago, much better than these two teams. Arsenal are in trouble on that performance, Brentford no imagination but battle hard. Still think they will struggle.

 

Poor advert for the premier league, also looks like VAR aren’t going to get involved this season.

Yes! Thankyou! I hate arsenal as much as the next guy but that was just cringeworthy. Manager doing a walk around like they just won a European cup ffs.

Of all of the newly promoted clubs that have come up and have had frankly painful amounts of hype and media gushing, I've got the most appreciation for Brentford. I see a lot of us in them, they really remind me of us in the way they're run, the way they recruit, the way they came up and got promoted, the way they play. Frank reminds me a lot of Rodgers, too, in terms of his football history and seems like a great bloke.
