Popular Post OadbyBlue Posted 13 August 2021 Popular Post Posted 13 August 2021 I’ve never understood the concept of criticising a team/group of fans for celebrating “too much”. Like who determines what an adequate level of celebration is for each event? 20 1
Popular Post HoChiMinhFOX Posted 13 August 2021 Popular Post Posted 13 August 2021 (edited) Any Brentford fan not celebrating like we did against man u when we came up, would be absolutely mental. Imagine thinking their reaction is unwarranted. Of course it is. It's a huge win for them. Edited 13 August 2021 by HoChiMinhFOX 17

ARM1968 Posted 13 August 2021 Posted 13 August 2021 Massive result for both teams. Brentford should celebrate like it’s their birthday. Blow out ALL the candles. Suck out every drop of Blue Nun and go fuching wild. Good on em. And across town Arsenal can begin to realise that this is going to be a very long season and that Arteta likely won’t see its end as their manager. 2

z-layrex Posted 13 August 2021 Posted 13 August 2021 (edited) Telling you, you're all disagreeing with me but if you knew many Brentford fans as I do your feelings would be different. Edited 13 August 2021 by z-layrex 1
Dan Posted 13 August 2021 Posted 13 August 2021 Think we're safe from Maddison going. He truly is a mug if he joins that shambles. 2
Hollyfox Posted 13 August 2021 Posted 13 August 2021 Brentford have been very good for a few years now. Blowing up 2 years ago and letting WBA in probably did them a favour. Maybe like us after the Deeney moment. They/we just weren't ready at that point 1

Well done to them. Not that long ago we scored a late equaliser against Everton to get our first point back in the big league. Let’s not turn into some snobby bastards. Let them enjoy today because it is massive in their eyes. We’re just at a different level these days 40 minutes ago, The_77 said: It’s cringeworhy when Liverpool do it after a draw, when Arsenal beat us in 2016. But this wasn’t. Let’s not turn into fans that lose our perspective and piss on others’ parades. They finally got to play a game at their new stadium full of supporters, and they just won their first game back in the top division. We’d have rightfully done the same thing if we were them and we would have loved every damn second of it. Million times this. We need to not become that entitled, arrogant, snobbish fan base and not have the attitude you'd expect from the clubs we're looking to replace in the top echelons of the table. 5 2

Md9 Posted 13 August 2021 Posted 13 August 2021 Arsenal are in for a tough season. Can’t see why madders would want to play for them at this minute in time other than just live the London life. Fair play to Brentford today though I think out of the three that came up would like to see them do the best.
Popular Post Corky Posted 13 August 2021 Popular Post Posted 13 August 2021 Really pleased for Brentford and their fans, they've missed out on attending two play-off finals, missed their last game at their old ground, the first at the new one and their first match after promotion they turn Arsenal over. They should soak it in. 10

Manager doing a walk around like they just won a European cup ffs. Ah, let them enjoy it. First game in the top flight in decades, just back from Covid (so a large amount of the crowd had not even been in the new ground til tonight) and a team that was playing in League 2 ten years ago. A bit of context goes a long way. Edited 13 August 2021 by OntarioFox percentage edit since someone's probably gonna be pedantic about it lol 2

Not really mate. You've had a mare with this. Let them have their moment. We certainly would if we were in their shoes. 3
Popular Post MPH Posted 13 August 2021 Popular Post Posted 13 August 2021 I have a 1 week old baby girl and her and Arsenal Languishing in the lower echelons of the prem seem to have a lot in common. Neither of them seem to know how to handle the situation they are in. They seem to not know how to react, how to Behave and seem clueless as to how to get out of the situation presented before them . It’s like they both are looking around for help, but don’t even know what they need help with.. 6
