Well they can hardly allow Man City to be sponsored by etihaad etc and stop newcastle accepting Saudi company sponsors

Man City are STILL in court with the Premier League over the financial doping involved in those sponsorships. They’re using their financial might to tie up the authorities in arbitration over every single letter of the accusation, because they know they’re richer than the PL/FA/UEFA and have the time to outspend them. Even over whether the court case could be made public.

In the 2 and a half years that court case has been going on they’ve won 2 Premier Leagues and 2 League Cups, and reached the Champions League final. By the time they could be found guilty any punishment will be pointless because they’ve already won everything and would just get it overturned by CAS somehow.

Newcastle are 15 times wealthier than Man City and will just cheat even more.

the principle of allowing sponsorship is the point. The statement speaks of ‘fair value’ ……

Surprise surprise Rudiger was heavily involved, bit like our game there in May, when he had his contretemps with D Amartey and others.

He's a headbanger!!

Wish we could resign Wasilewski for just one match next time we play Chelsea just so he can "deal with" Rudiger once and for all.

Why do teams always get punished for 'failure to control their players' against Chelsea yet Chelsea rarely get punished doing the same thing, if not worse?

Well, if the 'higher ups' want entertainment instead of sport, then why not? :P :D

Villa are all over Norwich, who are showing Leicester City levels of slow-startedness.

Norwich looking absolutely woeful.

If I was Villa I'd be shitting it at 0-0 as Norwich can only improve.

Leeds defender should clear the goal, surely? Wasn't travelling at great speed and he was hardly stretching...

I expected them to get it. Leeds are going to get absolutely taken apart here - our 9-0 is under threat.

Have Man City got the biggest advertising hoardings in the world, ever? So distracting. Awful.

They've got two sets of them, so double the annoyance in size and scope :P   I wonder who thought it up?

I don’t think Pep will let his team completely embarrass Bielsa. They’ll ease off second half.

I dunno....goal difference may play a factor end of season

All this covid about and we're treated to a close up of Dean Smith gobbing on the touchline. Is there ever a need for a manager to do that? Disgusting and thoughtless.
