No about 80 mins of it I'd say. The usually 32k would've sung non stop.

It was really bad wasnt it. Was only loud for about 5 mins after each goal and whenever Villa scored

but in terms of control of the football match, it was lost when Fofana went off imo

I'll say it again, and I've no doubt we'll disagree, but we were winning when he was off. Actually, Spurs didn't really create much after that other than Kane's goal. Him going off didn't cause Kasper to punch the ball into his own net.

The difference between today and Wembley was really noticeable

Losing nine games at home

Persistent failure to defend corners

Inflexible playing style and manager

Injuries to key players in prime form

Lack of on field leadership and toughness in adversity

But we did win the FA Cup and I’m not going to let this disappointment cloud the joy of seeing the team finally lift that trophy.

Whilst previous games have contributed - yes, it was on today. If we won that today, we were in, and there was no reason at all we couldn't have won. This is a poor Spurs team in relative disarray. Did you see them midweek against Villa?

I think the Fofana sub was the key today though. Mendy simply isn't good enough.

Shipped 11 goals in our last four games. Need to be more defensively savvi. Another stupid free kick conceded by Mendy today led to a goal. Add that to Fofana's ridiculous challenge on Werner at Chelsea etc. etc. Could go on and on about this weak spot. These cheap repeated mistakes and lack of concentration have haunted us all season. Can't help but feel that this is our achilles heel.

I wonder why.

Anything would be speculation as we will never know. May well just of been the cup final effect but it may also be down to the fact that those who travel to away games weren't there. But no one knows it was just an observation on my part.

What are the stats on our last 9/10 games?

We must have really fooked this up again to finish 5th? Has anyone got em?

Just wanted to let off my thoughts.

In general, i see a lot of folk looking for one "perfect" issue to blame. To me this is more complex. I'll list off my reasoning behind said point. Our biggest issues are:

In game management. Rodgers is very very good tactically but sometimes his in game management and decision making regarding certain players like perez and praet isn't explainable. This manifested itself with almost all the subs today tbh.

Mentality.  Some of our players heads go down when something doesn't go away. Etc.

Softness. We really lack a hard head out there.

Injuries. Way way too many injuries at the club. Can't be accounted for..

Self belief. I believe players like vardy believed we could win, but some certainly don't sometimes.

Fan support. Not going to lie, this played a role. The king power was way too quiet today. Wembley, for example, was not.

Corners. Both offensively and defensively they're our biggest weakness. It's an absolute disgrace to give away what we did and waste what we did.

Lack of signings. This isn't the fault of top but we have a very very very depth deprived squad. Our first 11 can beat any but we have no depth. Need to invest a lot seriously. Look at who Tottenham brought on vs us...

I could continue.

Thoughts?

An absolute abomination of a home record against utter shite.

That's it.

Honestly, I think a long hard season just caught up on everyone.

The injuries have played a huge part especially the loss of Barnes with his pace and directness.

You could question some decisions from Brendan but that's being picky.

Would I have taken an FA Cup win and 5th at the start of the season, I certainly would.

So let's enjoy the Summer and come back stronger in August.

Totally  agree missing Barnes and JJ made BR to change tactics and we didnt have the quality  in the squad  to carry on the way he set us up.Yeah we blew the games against Southampton  and Newcastle but on the whole a fully fit squad we would of made champions league no problem.Need 4 to5 quality players to push on next season.Keep the faith.

5-0 vs Sheffield United

0-2 vs Manchester City

2-3 vs West Ham United

3-0 vs West Bromwich Albion

2-1 vs Crystal Palace

1-1 vs Southampton

2-4 vs Newcastle United

2-1 vs Manchester United

1-2 vs Chelsea

2-4 vs Tottenham Hostpur

P10 W4 D1 L5

Losing 3 out of the last 5 was the killer.  The Newcastle match was this seasons Bournemouth after all.

Bombed.

The focus will all be on today and we didn't help ourselves at all, but if that game had happened in November or February you would not be giving it a second look in the post-mortem. I would say credit to Spurs tbh, they've had a crap season but they were well up for it and made the best of their chances. They did have some luck of course, and they could bring Gareth ****ing Bale and Lucas Moura off the bench.

We don't have the players to get the job done after our best 11.

Replace Perez with someone like buendia

Replace mendy with soumare

Replace choudary with willock

Replace fuchs with Bertrand

Sign a CB infact 2, 1 being dunk or tarkowski

Sign edouard

We need a right winger this is urgent 3 seasons ago.

For the first time use money from the owners for the first time in years instead of selling players and go for it.

Regardless we have had a amazing season I'd rather have a trophy than champions league football.

Sign the above and we will have champions league football next year

The number of games on a small squad had a huge bearing on injuries. We were fighting on four fronts and something had to give, we were limping towards the line. It's pretty remarkable that we sustained any sort of form considering at one point we had seven players out and one on the bench who couldn't play more than 20mins.

We can go easy on the cups next season (we've done both now👍),

so we can hopefully keep a larger number fit and throw everything at the League.

Our net spend per season is usually around £20m, we'll have to ship out a couple of big players to finance those signings unless something is about to change income wise.

And the reason we are still a team that is just missing out is because or net spend is 20m.

Our club has only spent money from player sales in the past few years.

All the other clubs above us and below us have had their chairman to fund them out their pocket.

If we want to take that next step this needs to happen.

If it pays off they would receive there money back in a season or 2 anyway its time to spend
