That is a VERY tasty friendly. Not only a very good team, the return of Saffron Lane's finest in Vicente Iborra, but also the Europa league winners. That's our goal this season, to win that and place high in the league. And we could do it! We have the squad this season to compete across both fronts.

 

Looking forward to seeing this game, they are an underrated side.

I get the feeling Villarreal will be 75-90 minutes for a second string side, given it's <72 hours before the Community Shield. I imagine the club have pushed Rodgers to have an extra friendly just so they can have a trial run of a non-socially distanced full stand or two before Wolves.

probably to give the new pitch  a try out before the first league game. Gives them 9 days to tweak it if it doesn't react well. 

 

Squad is big enough to play 2 friendlies as well.

Gives us a chance to get 90 mins into youri, a week after he returns from his holidays and three days before he plays another 90 at Wembley !

Yep soon be here, the charity shield. We, with our shiny new players and they on the decline . A comfortable victory then but there will still be plenty on here shitting themselves. We started last season on fire but I can't see it happening this time. I am expecting a really tough old season if we battle away all season and I mean all season then we should make top six.
