How is that even an insult?

“People outside Leicester only became Leicester fans after you won the title”

I’m in an absolute fit of rage right now.

I've also never met an Arsenal fan who was a fan before they first won a title

Me too. I think there’s only two of us that share this opinion though!

No I'll make it 3, he's young, raw and has massive potential yes! Far from being a definitive star though.

The latest rumours suggesting Leicester are open to do a deal are coming from Pete O'Rourke. Never really heard him but quite a few accounts are quoting him as the source.

So they want people to believe that Leicester are willing to do a deal but sod all links to possible replacements at the same time.

Genuinely no clue if he's reliable or not. Never seen his name crop up

There you have just painted a typical transfer scenario…. The original question was “how do you know we are keen?” So can you answer that? Rumours, inside knowledge?

Inside knowledge on this one.

I think he was at Sky Sports before and wasn't the most reliable then from what I recall.

The first guy’s profile states he’s an Arsenal AND Barcelona/Messi fan.

Jeet sounds like he’s proper cockerney.

What is the basis for these 'bad attitude' claims people keep repeating?

As far as I can tell the only evidence of this is him attending that party, but so did Barnes and don't see his attitude being constantly questioned?

Have I missed something?

The thing that REALLY makes me question his attitude isn't so much the covid party but the fact that after he was dropped for that West Ham game as punishment, he didn't even have the decency to watch it. He was off playing golf whilst his team mates struggled without him and then (reportedly) went to a pub at 12am that night for the re-opening of pubs. I don't expect him to be a Saint or a Leicester die hard and I do think he gets a hard time from sections of our support but I do expect him to show some dedication and commitment and I don't think he has.

On the pitch, I like Maddison. We are a better team with him in it IMO and don't necessarily want to lose someone of his ability but I'm not going to be gutted about losing someone who has shown questionable dedication. It's not wrong to expect 100% effort on and off the field and for the reasons I stated, I don't think he does that.

We need a reputable journalist like John Percy to draw a line under this. The idea we would take some Arsenal reserve players in part-exchange for one of our main playmakers is surely complete rubbish. Think what message it would send out if it happened.

Anyone who thinks we are seeling him cheap is off their rocker.

Ben White with 36 PL apps is goning to cost 40-50m, I can't see us blinking for anything less them 70m with 3 years left on his contact even in a depressed market.

Arsenal would want to pay that over 10 years

Sorry, but this seems a bit ridiculous to me.

If there’s one player who’s the most likely to be there watching, supporting, and giving every impression of actually caring what happens, even when not in the team, it’s Maddison.

So all those Arsenal Madders fan boys are going to be sad now - what will they do with their Madders 10 shirts and photoshops.....lol

But according to their main source for the Maddison move - AFCbell-end - Madders was getting the 10!

Didn't the golf club come and say this wasn't true and he'd left before our game started? And I'm pretty sure the pub thing was a joke made by a member on here?

What I do know for sure though is that at the end of the 2019/20 season when he was injured he still travelled with the squad to (I think) every game to support the team when many other players in a similar situation (Chilwell) didn't.

As Leicester fans shouldn't we be backing our players and not forming negative opinions based on rumours?

I'm 99% sure the pub thing was a joke. I think there was a story about people going to a pub in Coventry during a lockdown, and someone joked that Maddison was there.
