iPerez will be the new number 10 and for that reason I’m out lol

I think we'll just shift away from playing with a number 10 if Maddison goes. Very few teams play that way anymore and Maddison is a bit of a throwback to a 00s player of 10-15 years ago but fewer and fewer traditional number 10s in Maddison's vein exist anymore.

Most teams play 4-3-3 or 3-5-2 these days rather than the 4-2-3-1 or -3-4-1-2 we play pretty much only because of Maddison.

I would still say do it! I’ve sat in the freezing snow watching us against Middlesbrough and I think that would show you my dedication to the club! lol

Yep.  Not having Maddison actually makes us more positionally flexible as a squad.  You might even see Praet stick around if that happens.

You don't just change a football club!

You pick a team & it's yours for life !

Arsenal's fans haven't come to grips with their new status yet. They're the new Everton, past glories fading by the year, the top 6 is a good finish to build on and yet historic enough for them to have delusions of grandeur every summer. They need the reality of a football season to bite to realise what they really are again.

Maddison was seven years old when they last won the league.

This place is getting kinda cocky and entitled considering we haven't made top 4 ourselves since we won the league.

I actually don't think Arsenal is all that far from being a top 4 contender, though I don't think Maddison is the guy that would get them there.

Yeah, but Arsenal are pretty fuching cocky thinking they have the prospects to warrant poaching our players. They are badly run, they have severely diluted their competitive brand, and they have no European football. And they didn't win the FA Cup last season. And they haven't finished in a CL top-4 slot since we won the league. How many years without CL.football would it take for Arsenal to lose its recruiting advantage over teams.like us? 10? Probably less. It's happening right now but they don't to admit it. They are still a good team, but elite players aren't coming now. TV contract money is levelling the recruiting playing field. What if Arsenal stay around 8th for 5 years, without European football? What happens? Because that shit could happen here. We could be watching the formation of "the top-5." Or Top-4 even, because if Kane goes, Spurs are a Son injury away from being a clear cut below.
