I’d be having a word with madders to be honest. Arsenal are a ****ing joke, and he won’t progress anything other than his wallet.

What madders needs to do, is stop being a show pony and pull his finger out. He’s a talented lad, he just needs to be more consistent.

The more I hear the more I think he just doesn’t fit in here. I think him and arsenal are perfect for each other in the sense that they both think they are better than they are. It’s a shame as I do like him as a player and he was very good at times for us last season. His injury is also a big concern so now may be the time to sell if we can.

I'd feel differently if his chronic hip issue didn't mean he could be another Dean Ashton or his attitude another David Bentley.

But I'm still not sure he goes to Arsenal. Might put some clubs he does fancy on alert though.

Basically this.

Moving to Arsenal would also most likely not allow him to move to Manchester United, which is the move he really wants.

Can’t wait to see the Arsenal fans crying on Twitter when he signs a new contract and takes a massive shit on the Arsenal shirt laughing his head off

Cheers Alan; I'll bear that in mind when out of the blue they invite me to run the transfer negotiations and strategy for the club.

What is the basis for these 'bad attitude' claims people keep repeating?

As far as I can tell the only evidence of this is him attending that party, but so did Barnes and don't see his attitude being constantly questioned?

Have I missed something?

I’ve lived in London for longer than I lived in Leicester and in the past I did wonder if I could adopt a London club as my second team but it’s just impossible. Especially Arsenal, who my other half’s family support. I’ve tried to like them but just can’t. Ditto Chelsea, Spurs, West Ham and the rest. London clubs are impossible to like. Mostly because of their fans. Maybe Palace because they’ve historically been about our level but, nah, because of playoff rivalry and their silly ‘ultras’. Sorry, digressional post, but all to say, yes, Arsenal fans are very nearly the worst. For me the worst are ‘we’re a massive club’ Spurs or, latterly, bitter Chelsea fans. I feel blessed every morning to wake up a Fox 🦊

i know he's a massive bell but that tweet wasn't that bad. if he was to go there, and has a fully fit season they could possiblely compete for top 4. i doubt they'd get top 4 tho

I have often wondered this myself. He seems nothing more than an easy target.

You're not wrong mate on this one, the guy is a massive bell though nonetheless

If true, how is Maddison able to agree to terms with another club while he is under contract with Leicester?? Arsenal shouldn't be able to talk to him.

If there is a deal to be done (both clubs keen, which Arsenal and Leicester are), then Madders representatives will see what they are offering etc alongside. It will all be done in principle and just up to the clubs to sort. Wink (Harry) wink

He'll wait a long time for a move to Man U - they have Bruno, Pogba, Van De Beek and even Lingard who can play the 10 role. They're not going to be in the market for a new 10 in a long time.

How do you know we are keen? lol

I don't see him leaving, bit anything north of £60m and I'm confident we'd strengthen our squad as a result with our recruitment ability.

Something I’m quite vocal about. Proper ‘yer da’ thing to say. Young player on lots of cash, dresses extravagantly and is inconsistent in his form - must have a really disgustingly terrible attitude. I’d be more concerned about his hip to be honest. Up until that ‘covid party’ ive been really impressed with his work ethic on/off the pitch and the way he communicates.

Gray used to get it a lot.

I do however think he’s a bit of a twat, but let’s be fair we have no idea about his working personality and attitude. All that we know about Rodgers do we think he’d allow someone in his team that had a really terrible attitude?

They offer £60 million, he is off. 100% We are ready to do business. Like others have said, he wants United, but the bright lights of London would turn his head.

I could see him going to a London club for the lifestyle but I'm not sure it would be Arsenal.  Footballing wise it makes no sense. Chelsea etc. then he would go I'm sure.

I don't like this, they should only talk once Leicester have agreed to sell. Doing it beforehand just feels wrong, unless like you said Leicester told them they can talk, I just hope Maddison doesn't act like baby and sulk if it doesn't happen.
