Think most people are basing it off the Twitter account who seems to specialise in analysing football injuries… I’d like to assume the person is an MD given their knowledge

If they are, they should know better than to diagnose from a distance.

And could at least wait a little while (till tomorrow at least) before making their analysis!

I hope the team pulls together and does something for little wes next match.

He's barely even an adult. Poor lad.

I know this was a freak and malicious injury but that's the 4th injury for Fofana in a year. A knee injury before he signed for us, 2 hamstring injuries that were several week injuries and now this.

Hope this doesn't hamper his career as he's destined to be world class if not.

Maybe I'm overly emotional but this kills our season...at this level its small  percentages...fofana is better signing than tielmans,  ndidi,  ricardo...imagine mahrez gets hurt in 2015 like this...history is completely changed

We don't have any luck with injuries. I was just saying pre-match that once Justin, Evans and Castagne are back in a few weeks we'll have an unbelievable team, and now Fofana is out for potentially the season before we've kicked a ball competitively!

I was at the match, the tackle was horrific. No point wasting energy on the Villereal plAyer, I am saving my energy to wish Little Wes a speedy recovery 🙏🏽

Sucked the life out the atmosphere, photos on phones almost instantly, gutted for him on what should've been a great night back for everyone.

Get well soon wes.

Iborra needs to clean whoever it was up in training

It’s a triple whammy this. We are denied one of our best players, our defence is weakened and our attack, since we probably don’t have the time, opportunity or funds to sign the (now 2) CBs we need and a RW

Unai Emery not taking Piña off was a disgrace tbh.

Not only that but it should have come with a complete dressing down, which I highly doubt took place even post game. If anything he’s probably been consoled - worse yet, congratulated on his goal.

Hope Iborra goes right through Niño in training.

Though not ideal, we may find that Benkovic or even nelson come of age this season. I know that’s fantasy stuff, but im

the ever optimist

In 2014 if matty james had not of got seriously injured we probably never would of signed ngolo kante so it's pointless playing what if guessing games like that we will never know.

We will sign a CB, we will bounce back we have one hell of a side and the strongest squad we have had for years

You haven’t got a clue what you are on about if you think you can’t get charged for assault by punching someone in a rugby game. There are plenty of examples where people have been prosecuted for attacking people during sporting competition when it has caused serious injury or harm.

There are exceptional circumstances where this has possibly happened in high level competitive sport. Normally you can argue 'Volenti no fit injuria', which essentially means a player accepts the risk when you step on a competitive sports pitch - i.e. Leicester could never sue for a dangerous tackle if with an apology which often happens.

It is a disgrace though that a player like Nino can make a challenge like that and get away with it. Should be banned for as long as Fofana is injured or at least 50% of the time.

The twist of his body in the follow through was disgusting.

Whatever happens we need to buy a decent replacement, somebody who is going to hit the ground running, because a season of Amartey, Benkovic and the kid we brought on being backup scares the s**t out of me

The defence we brought on after the injury would genuinely conceed about 3 goals a game minimum

If I’m honest he wins the ball and the follow through gets Fofana. The tackle was out of frustration from the player which was completely unnecessary but he has come in from the side and got the ball first. It’s just a shame Fofana was stretching as the guys weight came down. Was looking forward to seeing a Cags and Fofana partnership.

He deliberately swept his right leg through the back. He absolutely intended to cause serious harm. He has form for it, apparently.
