Who is the most important player for us?

If it's not just about what happens on the pitch then I'd say that no other individual is more important than Kasper.

Ooof, so difficult. I've gone Wilf as I think he'd be the hardest to find a like for like replacement of the same quality who would come to Leicester. And I think a team really starts from how good the central midfield is -  most important part of the pitch IMO thats why it is called the 'engine room'

 

You could put Tielemans in the same bracket.

 

Harvey Barnes is equally a special talent and the best our academy has produced for a long time.

 

Ricardo Pereira if he can get back to the form he showed pre injury was a difference maker too.

 

Kasper is a good shout, the amount of points he saves us from his shot stopping would be hard to replace.

 

Overall - Ndidi just about stands out for me and would be the biggest loss.

I still think it's Vardy until we see an extended length of time without him in the side. 

You can argue he isn't the player he was 2 years ago, but I still think our entire style of play is largely built round him.

Kasper, this club runs through his veins. I feel he is instrumental behind the scenes in everything that his good about this squad. It’s drive, it’s focus and desire, the way it conducts itself, loves the owners who love him and has truly bought into everything they try and do. Possibly the best keeper in our history too, but that’s an argument for another thread.

At this moment in time....and I literally mean today .....Cags. If we lose him we are absolutely ****ed. 

 

The answer to this question will change quite often based on what else is going on in the squad/player form/upcoming opposition. E.g toward the end of the last season Kel would be a huge loss.

All incredibly important players for us the question really boils down to who in the squad would cover in the result of an injury/transfer

 

Ndidi - soumare Mendy or choudry

Tilemans - kdh soumare or praet

Barnes  - no one really last time he got injured we had to change to 3 5 2.

Kasper - ward

 

So based on that it's Barnes all day long.

Not read the thread so might be repeating others’ points. 
 

Ndidi because without him we’re just so easy to play through. Mendy and Choudhury are nowhere near his level so we’re like hologram team when he’s absent.

 

After that, Barnes. If he hadn’t have been injured last season we qualify for the CL easily. His injury forced us into 532 and we’re usually poor with it.

 

Ndidi is our only player you could make the case that they’re the best on the planet at what they do.

My thoughts exactly! Youri and Ndidi were the first names I thought of, but I think we'd get by if either got injured. I think Soumare and KDH will be important players this season. Both look impressive.

 

We saw last season what happens when Barnes is missing. It meant we went without wingers entirely! I'm hoping that Sowah or a new signing will mean we don't have to take such drastic measures this season.

 

At this point in time, Cags is a good shout, but I think we'll be signing a CB soon.
