Ayoze to Jannick, " one good game and the hatchet men will stand on their heads". In truth the big guy is nowhere near as bad as some on here claim but you don't get Baresi for 15 million quid these days. A good game will certainly come just as it has for big Dan

Given Soyuncu’s poor form, would like to see how he does alongside Evans.

I think that might well have been the plan in the Spartak game had he not picked up a knock.

You could win the league with Vestergards headers from corners alone! He somehow has a jumping reach of 19 when i checked his stats in Beta.  It should be -19

It would certainly be interesting to see 😂 I would like to see it experimented with although I’m doubtful it would ever happen. In a back 3 vestergaard is okay but in a back 4 he looks awful. His passing is intelligent and he certainly has a decent range which would be interesting to see at cdm.
I think the problem is he’s an easy target and his one on one defending is shocking and when you’re playing centre half if someone takes the ball past you they’re likely to be 1 on 1, whereas at cdm if he gets dribbled past he’s not going to be the last man. I think he’d play best as a sweeper but in the modern game there’s not many systems that employ one.
Maybe it’s being a bit ‘football hipster’ but I don’t think he’d be any worse in midfield, it wouldn’t highlight his defensive frailties as much and he could utilise his passing better which is clearly his best asset.
I haven’t given up on him just yet as we’ve seen him have good games against us (barring the 9-0 👀) and for Denmark and maybe he’d play better behind Ndidi or when defending deep like he does for Denmark, but for the time there’s no way he should be played at cb unless it’s in a 3 as he’s being targeted and looks completely out of answers.

Regardless, the team would be much worse with him in midfield. He can barely run for a start.

I've not done a Leicester save yet but Lewis Dunk scored 2 hatricks from corners in the first 10 games of the season in my Brighton save. I was just using a bog standard near post corner tactic and heard a few others say that headers from corners are v OP in FM22.

How times change hey, 6-3 Steve Walsh was one of the best headers of a ball I have ever seen. Steve could really jump though and his technique was nearly perfect. Why? because he practised like f**k.

He's had some good moments (the sliding tackle on Ronaldo stands out), but is clearly having a crisis of confidence. Noticeable reduction in Cruyff turns of late

.. the Cruyff turns are moments, like a players first touch in a game!!!

Get the first touch right and the confidence is immediately there, mess it up and they feel it is not going to be their day.

When he messed up with the turn, it would be a crisis of confidence for him, does he try it again, and if he doesn't, his routine goes out the window. So does he take the risk and mess up again or find another less problematic way to test and generate the confidence he needs at the start of games.

Is this our worst signing since Adrien Silva? we cant defend at all right now, yet he's not even considered! not even to hang onto a lead (which is rare these days) Him and Bertrand to be chased out of Leicester come July

Yes. I'd get him out come January. Send him back to Denmark. Bertrand as well. Let's see if brendan has the cojones to do so

Similar to Ghezzel, panic signing.

Bertrand has had COVID so we have no idea if that's caused a lot of his issues

People here keep saying 'Panic Buy' but I seem to remember Brendan wanted him early last year. Leicester have skilled staff working in the recruitment department so I don't think they were panicked to purchase him. 14m plus around 3.5 to 4.5m a year in wages for a player who may not play for Leicester ever again. Teams find in hard to shift their deadwood..... we're purchasing them. We used to either buy younger unknown talent or experienced defenders who were relatively cheap, this buy goes against our traditional recruitment policy

I think we were all happy when he signed? Hindsight is wonderful. Of course he has turned out to be absolute dogshite but I don't think you can expect to sign a 6ft 7 centre half who can't head a ball. That defys all logic.

I most certainly wasn't and got grief as a result but as always, I know a hell of a lot about scouting and player ability and Vestergaard is heinous.

I didn't expect him to be the best defender in the squad but I was hoping for him to bring some much needed experience at the back.

A wise old defender with plenty of Prem experience.

But dude looks completely lost out there, doesn't know if he is coming or going.
