He was at fault for the 2nd and arguably the 1st. Identical mistake to one he made against Spartak as well… not learning

It could be that my expectations of him are super low following his first few games with us lol

Many years ago, when I first moved down under, I just needed a pay packet to get by week to week, with an ever changing CV I blabbed my way into many different jobs, where I had no clue what I was doing.

All I was hoping for was I’d eventually get it and become good and this job, or I’d stay long enough to get the next pay packet before they realised I didn’t have a clue.

I feel like this is Vestergaard

Not seen a worse start to a defensive career at our club for decades. He is an abomination.

I thought Ryan Bennett was poorer.

I've never seen anyone dive in slower. Turns like an oil tanker and can't head the ball for shit. Wtf were we thinking?

I’d say we weren’t or that it was a panic buy - but we pursued him like a stalker for about 2 years…

Towards the end where he fell over and handled the ball. He wasn’t even touched. Brighton player appealed and then realised he had the advantage. Vestegaard was still on the floor! I know you should support the players blah blah. But this guy is so poor he is going to keep costing us goals.

The main 2 surprises with Vestergaard for me, considering his experience in the Prem and Internationally, is

1. How often he is out of position at the back from crosses and the other is him trying to win a header facing our goal.

Im not going to write him off just yet, with settling in/maybe carrying a knock/not fully fit as maybe a factor in his subdued start.

He does look low on confidence and seems very casual in his style of play.

Hopefully there is more to come from him, if he was that bad surely Schmeichel would have gave the owners a warning about signing him.

Similarities to Brian 'scary' Carey.

He s going to get more game time before New year...

Ist about riding the storm..& Hoping for 3 situations to improve...

1) Vestergaard to Show small steps of improvements, as an individual & with Working with teammates .

I am sorry But our Bline Coaching has been well below average..

2) Thankfully Amartey has refound some mojo & putting in Performances We Need Evans & Soyuncu, also to hold some high caliber of form.

3) Ricardo/Castagna/Thomas..They are getting there ( still our usual Steady performers) but find those consistent high output again.

We also have lost our Natural interfacing between the  lines...That Rodgers/Coaching staff job
