Kapustka plays for these :sweating:

Could be the second time ever LCFC would have won in a foreign capital city. The first being last year in Athens.

Castagne - Evans - Soyuncu - Thomas

Soumare - Hamza - KDH

Iheanacho - Daka - Lookman

Can't see Vardy starting. Save him for next Sunday. Hopefully Evans is fit. Wouldn't surprise me if Amartey played some part.

Iheanacho and Daka both have to start. Both played well vs Napoli. Keep Lookman in the team - clearly lots of confidence in his game right now.

Probably will be the case, but I like how he's playing and want to see more of him.

Dad's decided to go to this one, then fly back via Hungary because he couldn't get a direct flight from Poland apparently. He's currently tearing his hair out getting all his Covid papers in order to go through two national checkpoints. Apparently, despite his best efforts the only forms he can find for the airport are in Hungarian.

He needs to be back in the UK on Sunday morning to pick me up from Heathrow in time to take us to Selhurst Park.

He's going to get stranded in Budapest isn't he? lol

Has to be the priority for me, doubt we will even manage top six with the state of our defence without Evans. Plus it’s a competition we’re more than capable of winning (at our best). I want to see us take it seriously!

Out for the whole season with a cruciate ligament injury, so no worries of him bagging a late winner in both games lol

Yes, he’s created himself a huge headache there as Hungary’s entry requirements are very complex. Surprised he couldn’t get a flight to another city in Poland as its one of the few countries with ample flights to the UK currently

They are crap but that doesn't mean we will be too strong for them. As long as the opposition are in our face and the crowd on top then we will cause no end of bother for ourselves. Individual brilliance needed from Seniorman IMO.

Pretty much what I was gonna say:appl:

Keep Evans and Iheanacho (hopefully) fresh for next Sunday

                      Schmeichel

Castagne  Soyuncu   Vestergaard   Thomas

                  Soumare    KDH

     Perez          Maddison        Lookman

                             Daka

and next Sunday I’ve been thinking the best way to get Iheanacho into the team and come up with the following:

                           Schmeichel

            Soyuncu    Evans    Vestergaard

Ricardo        Tielemans   Ndidi         Castagne

              Iheanacho               Barnes

                                 Vardy

With Ricardo as wing back he can provide the width down the right so Iheanacho can stay inside just off Vardy, coming in on that left foot. The thought of Vestergaard as left sided CB is a bit scary but he played there well for Denmark and Castagne can be more of a defensive wing back as Barnes will keep natural width on the left

.....we are so poor when we have our Fullbacks pushed up....we can't find our way out of our 18 yard box!!!

Other teams have spotted how poor we are, and now only have to press us, and we give away so many chances. We are now so focused on the man out wide who pulls into a more central position to allow the Fullback to overlap, teams have seen that and to be honest it now messes with Ricardo's game and the wide player having to take up a position beside the #10 or deep second striker in order to incorporate this.

Do you recall the Villa cup game where we spent the first 10 minutes passing the ball between the Centre Backs, Ricardo was picked up and so was the other Wingback, the only option is playing into the midfield to break the lines, meaning relying on the ball control skills of Ndidi and poor form of Tielemans, we can't risk it, we need to be solid.

People are really underplaying just how poor we're playing at the moment.....Even more importantly, they're underplaying just how poorly Rodgers is setting us up.

Many championship sides with turn us over with our current performances, Milwall probably think they should have the other night, so I can't see anything but a relatively straight forward home win.

We've been that poor, that I'd give as many of the squad options a chance as possible, to play their way into the side.

Only Vardy/Ndidi/Barnes/Lookman/Soumare/Iheanacho/Amartey are the only players at the minute I can see some positives with.

No idea how he worked out it would be easiest to go through there tbh.

I'm emigrating and it sounds like I'm gonna have an easier time getting back to Merry Old England than him. lol

Hard to see us winning with our current form and away with a hostile crowd to contend with. A draw wouldn't be too bad. A defeat would make progression difficult.

Pathetic knee-jerk negativity.

We have been mediocre so far in the PL season.  But these are total crap in the Polish League.   Lost three of their last four to Krakow, Slask and Rakow.  Who the hell are "Slask" and "Rakow"?  Polish fans couldn't find them on their own map!  FFS.  Even@Finnegannever heard of them.

And you whiners want to bend the knee.  **** that attitude.  Get into them early and destroy them!

I'd like to see Lookman in a free role behind Daka and Iheanacho. With his ability to drift wide and KDH being left footed then they can close off the channels if needs be.

This but is Tielemans really indestructible? He's played once or twice a week for two years now. Surely we've got to rest him. Give this one to Madders, KDH and Soumare...

Its all congecture, but I wouldnt Play Evans, Lookman off the Bench & Its Early in the season,International break Coming so I See Tielemans playing,

His rest/Rotation  Days will come After October...Ditto Ndidi....

I see no reason to Sacrifice any competition, so early..!!!

still October,Play your best players, with Caution on Evans & Vardy...

I mean These Chronic injuries we have had, and still Need nursing , are not imagination, but Scaring the shit out of This forum...

Es compete heavy to bet into Europe, es are Not in an easy draw, But ist is what players,Play for, & fans Aspire their clubs to..

You would think so.  Probably our best chance to get back to Europe next season.

Think we're going to see a similar team and set up in which faced Napoli.

I'd have thought Soumaré would cover Ndidi with KDH stepping in to the midfield 3.

As always, the 5 subs rule here really helps, well...in theory it should.

Agree. Not sure why so many are advocating playing a weakened team. We should be going all out to win this match with as strong a side as possible. If we underestimate Legia we might regret it.

Soumare had a very odd role against Burnley and it kind of reminded me that extra more defensive midfielder that Puel used to play against weak teams where we'd get turned over which ultimately lost him his job.

I think we need to swap Soumare with Nacho, Big Dan with Vestergaard and Bertrand with Thomas (if fit)

As others have said Europa should be our priority now so I'd like to see our strongest which IMO is:

                           Kasper

Ricardo.  Big Dan.  Soyuncu.   Thomas

                Ndidi.        Tielemans

Lookman.          Nacho.          Barnes

                             Vardy
