Soumare had a very odd role against Burnley and it kind of reminded me that extra more defensive midfielder that Puel used to play against weak teams where we'd get turned over which ultimately lost him his job.

I think we need to swap Soumare with Nacho, Big Dan with Vestergaard and Bertrand with Thomas (if fit)

As others have said Europa should be our priority now so I'd like to see our strongest which IMO is:

                           Kasper

Ricardo.  Big Dan.  Soyuncu.   Thomas

                Ndidi.        Tielemans

Lookman.          Nacho.          Barnes

                             Vardy

Ndidi is suspended.

Agree. Not sure why so many are advocating playing a weakened team. We should be going all out to win this match with as strong a side as possible. If we underestimate Legia we might regret it.

We will regret it, the EL has been unforgiving towards English teams not taking it seriously. How many times have we seen a member of the “big 6”, get undone on a freezing cold night in Poland because they didn’t field a strong team….. plus we need wins, so we need to be playing our strongest team until we’re in a rhythm of good results.

I don't know how many or how accurate the above is but I recall Spurs getting knocked out in Croatia last season by Zagreb.

We're not in freezing Poland nights season yet, but yes we could come unstuck if we don't pick a strong side and approach the game with a winning mentality.

Is Mendy still about? A little whisper in the ear on the way out

Wasn’t registered, we included Benkovic instead

Pathetic knee-jerk negativity.

We have been mediocre so far in the PL season.  But these are total crap in the Polish League.   Lost three of their last four to Krakow, Slask and Rakow.  Who the hell are "Slask" and "Rakow"?  Polish fans couldn't find them on their own map!  FFS.  Even@Finnegannever heard of them.

And you whiners want to bend the knee.  **** that attitude.  Get into them early and destroy them!

Rakow and Slask were second and fourth in the league last year tbf. They're not terrible (relatively.)

Think this is quite likely.

Not 100% on the centre midfield but reckon this is it eitherwise.

I think Tielemans will play, i'd just like to see him rested and KDH given a go.

I've lost track a bit with who's registered.

Is Hamza in the squad?

Think we need to go strong. A complete 2nd string in what could be a hot atmosphere may not be the wisest choice.

I'd go

                      Ward

Castagne Evans Soyuncu Thomas

               Tielemans Soumare

Perez             Iheanacho      Lookman

                         Daka

That should have plenty about it to do the job. As much as I'd like to give Youri and Cags a rest, I just think we could be far too vulnerable through the middle if we weaken that at all.

Kasper

Castagne Evans Vesty Thomas

Tielemans Soumare

Perez Maddison Barnes

Unsure on the lineup for this one, as others have said think the EL should be our priority for this one so wouldn’t want us to rotate completely, but could use this to try and play a few into form.

That said Vardy, Ndidi (suspension) and Kasper will likely be left at home. Therefore, I’d go with the below, only possible changes are Maddison to start to try and play him into some form, and Evans to play given the extra subs in the EL to give him a half, with the idea of starting him at the weekend. Can hopefully also bring Barnes and Youri off after 60 to rest them for the weekend as well.

                          Ward

Ricardo - Söyüncü - Vestergaard - Thomas

      Soumaré - Tielemans - KDH

             Perez  -  Daka  -  Barnes

Vs Palace

                      Schmeichel

Castagne - Evans - Söyüncü - Bertrand

                Tielemans - Ndidi

    Lookman  -  Iheanacho  -  Barnes

                            Vardy

Good mixture of rotation and quality in that team I feel. Think we need to make sure Youri gets a rest in this one for sure and would rather we saved Evans for Palace on Sunday.

I think the 3 in midfield doesn’t work with a DM personally.

I think the formation needs 3 box to box types to really make it work against weaker sides. It may be more risky but the idea of having the extra body gives you a bit more steel to begin with.

kdh for ndidi would have made for an exciting line up.

If it looks like it's backfiring then we're allowed to change half the team, so no need to panic.

Seems to work fine with Fabinho for Liverpool.
