I don't know if a similar thread has been started at any point over the last 5 years but if it hasn't I'll give it a go.

Of the players who appeared during our 2015/16 Premiership winning season, who would you most like to manage the club at some point in the future?

Kasper would seem the most likely to make the step up into management. Either that or punditry as he speaks so well.

Fuchs to be his assistant & Vardy any role around the club just for his personality.

Think Wes could have a crack at it but Andy King has all the hallmarks in my opinion.

Vards will do the TV rounds. Strictly, I'm a celeb, The Chase, Bake-off lol (Personally would love to see him have a Karl Pilkington-esque travel series!)

I think Kasper has already indicated he wants to go into the media, partly hinting because none of the usual pundits know anything about goalkeeping.

Obviously not, since they all seem to think he's good at distribution.

From recent times, I would go for Esteban Cambiasso. I don't think he could be our manager in the short term because he would rub some team members the wrong way (Vardy!), but his understanding of the game was phenomenal. He could play despite no longer having the physical attributes required at Premier League level because he read the game so well. He's also helped coach the Colombian World Cup team in 2018 and was in discussions with Watford about taking the job there before wisely deciding that was career suicide:

Just because you are an intelligent player doesn't mean you will be a good coach. Frank Lampard and Andrea Pirlo being the most obvious examples of this, but I'd keep an eye on Cambiasso because he's got street smarts as well as intellectual smarts. He played under Mourinho and Bielsa so has seen all types of coaching setup too. Interestingly he hasn't yet taken a head coach position, and I wonder why that is? Might be searching for the right opportunity.

Kasper I could see trying his hand at it, but not convinced about him. I think his leadership would be second to none, but these days you need to be a detail orientated training ground manager to succeed. That's why coaches like Guardiola, Klopp, Tuchel, Naglesmann are thriving.

Youri Tielemans I could also see doing it in 20 years time, something Rodgers has alluded to. A bit like Cambiasso he has a brilliant understanding of the game, so would have a chance.

Often times though it's the unsuspecting players that go on to become the best coaches. Klopp, Tuchel, Ole, Arteta, Nuno, etc were far from the star players at their clubs. The Germans were in fact remarkably average, but went on to become world class coaches. So based on that logic watch out for Danny Ward or Felip Bekovic to smash it as a coach!

People saying Wes could be a manager, have you actually ever heard him speak?

Might be good with the players in a captain / matey way but absolutely zero chance he has the attributes to be a modern day football manager.

Kasper is possibly the only one.

Bobby Huth.

He's German.  The current fad.

He's tough.

He's been a winner here and elsewhere.

If he gets bored on the bench, he can play

Kasper: more intrested in a ceo/dof role according to an interview recently. Would make a great manager in my opinion. But doesn't sound likely.

Fuchs: seems to have loads of other business intrests plus wants to live in America with his family so rules him out. Again very bright and charming guy I think he would be great.

Wes: hasn't done his badges hasn't really expressed an interest in managing so probably rules him out too.

Huth: too old fashioned, don't think he's really arsed.

Drinkwater: just no. Too much baggage.

Kante: too quiet, not a forceful enough personality for management (no bad thing btw)

Albrighton: could see him being a great assistant manager when he hangs his boots up. hardworking infectious character.

Mahrez: lol people would have a shit fit. I think he's probably too much of a maverick/individual to make a good manager but you never know he might surprise people.

Shinji: language barrier would probably rule him out.

Vardy: on the fence with this always thought he was too free spirited to be a manager but he's so tactically clever especially as he gets older you couldn't rule it out probably the most likely.

Schlupp: doesn't really come across as management material although he might mature.

King: love King but is he too much of a yes man/nice guy to succeed in management?

Ulloa: would have him for the song. But again not sure if he was a bit too nice/soft to be a great manager.
