Results (and performances) have not been great, but isn't everyone here getting a bit hysterical?

Yes, the defence needs attention, but we'll soon have Justin and Fofana available.

Mid-table may be less than hoped for, but we could be a lot worse.  No reason we can't put together a string of good results in the New Year once the likes of Tielemans, Justin and Fofana are back.

I'd be more than happy with mid table.

I get over emotional when I see us concede a corner. Sometimes I have to look away. Especially if it’s the first corner of the game. Like watching us concede a penalty.

We do seem to have a lot in the fanbase that places the result as the be all and end all of a day at football.

Less so that take a slightly more wider view on the whole thing and if they have had a good day out be it on their minibus or bus etc then thats a win.
But people do pay very good money these days and I think the fact that this squad with the money they are on is not very identifiable to most fans.

Not really, we've got a team full of highly paid footballers that don't seem to have the desire or fight in them to win a football match, whether it's down to the manager or the players or the system it doesn't really matter. Fans have a right to question the lack of the most basic ingrediant of any sportsman.

Losing to Villa is of no importance whatsoever given the state of this country and the danger of Covid. We need to accept we are in a transitional season. We are too good for any relegation fight but not going to threaten the leaders, not this season.

Basically, there are 2 extremes. There are the fans who say sack the manager sack the staff everything is shit, it's the end of the world etc etc. Then there's the smart arses, the type of fans who sit silently when another corner ends up in the net telling everyone to calm down and not get all het up. Obviously the ideal fan is somewhere in the middle, but football is emotional it takes up our time and money and we care about it. The fact is that it's not just this season. Take a cup win away and Rodgers reign had been promise followed by disappointment. A cup semi messed up v Villa, two top 4 finishes messed up, countless transfer failures, injuries, etc etc. The defending is as shit as I can remember, you actually know most corners are going to be a goal, it's pathetic. I can fully understand fans frustrations, and those sitting there saying it's not that bad must be watching something different.

P.S I've been a fan since 1995 so I remember League one, Levein, Megson Holloway etc etc.

No,  simple reason is that this is the basics – if you cant organise a defence or defend a set piece you wont last long in a management position, we currently need to score 3 to win a game... not sustainable

Probably but I wouldn't hang my hopes on that, we're still waiting for Ricardo to be up and performing to his best then you can add in Barnes, Ndidi, Castagne even Soyuncu who have all failed to reach previous levels of performance and Maddison is just starting to get there.

If showing frustration is being over emotional count me in.

Actually think the league triumph has made this aspect worse.

I don't agree it's the quality of the player we have that are arguably better than we've had for many, many years that clearly under performing and that is impacting on the ever changing tactics that Rodgers is employing.

It's massively frustrating when you see players of quality playing so badly.

Yes - however, it's really easy to be over emotional when you see the same things happen week in week out.

I don't want Rodgers to go, but it's easy to be annoyed when you shoot yourselves in the foot every match with the same issue.
