Could get very toxic if we fall behind to a cheap goal again

Sadly that’s what some will want today.

Got to that horrible part now where a section of support will happily say ‘I’d rather we lose today to sack Rodgers’

Sadly I can see Newcastle being more up for it than us.

These players won’t run through a brick wall for Brendan because he has stifled them with this style of play.

A game we shouldn't be losing. If we lose today I fear that it's going to be a long road back to getting out of the mess we're in. Confidence is low and the players are very fragile at the moment. We need to get behind them but fear if we go a goal down that the crowd will turn.

Even if they hate rugby, the players should all be forced to sit in a room and watch the Tigers’ game at Bordeaux yesterday.

Everything that this City side currently lack - guts, organisation, solidity, team spirit, fight to the finish - was on show in that huge win.

A performance like that against Newcastle today would quickly get the fans back onside.

People talking absolute shit on this forum lately....wanting us to get stuffed so we can get rid of Rodgers and get who? New manager comes in he still has the same players....same lack of squad depth....same want away players (Tielemans, Mendy, Choudhury), same injuries...same fickle fans

Tickler, how old are you pal? More often than not, new managers get a reaction from a group of players. This squad is a damn sight better than what's being served up. But it's inevitable after 3 years that they're tailing off and Rodgers is losing effectiveness. Get a new man in and let's have some fun again because this is dog mess.

I've always thought of Almiron as being an imposter to the Premier League. Always looks absolutely sh1t and hasn't scored or assisted at all this season.

We all know what happens next, the question is, do I bet my house or first born...

I can see the headlines " Almiron the Omicron for Leicester " - Newcastle stick 6 past the vulnerable Leicester who need to shield from football until this all blows over.

All 7 players from Thursday still out?!

Probably same squad as Thursday then and they're all gonna be fvcking knackered.

Yeah all out, plus further injuries. It'll be a horror show.

I reckon Youri has had a setback. Perhaps Evans too?

Hope Bertrand isn't starting regardless.

Daka and Vardy up top?

Look at some of these comments. Anybody would be thinking Newcastle were top 6.

A team that's still conceding, even with a new manager.

We will win today.

This forum is like other social media, there's not a lot of them but the anti vaxers make hell of a lot of noise and talk a load of drivel.

Stay at home and watch your go kart race is probably the best option for you.

It’s all about mentality though even a dogshit Newcastle side will be more up for it than us. Our mentality in our play is on the slide because of the way Rodgers sets us up,  We should be winning on paper 4-0 but the way we are playing we will draw the game

Dunno man I've only seen one of Howe's games on MOTD and that was against Brentford who scored 3 at St James'. So I don't know where "they'll be up for it more" comes from even with us looking like we can't be arsed.

I like Howe, always have, he'll come and attack us and I have no doubt they'll score (probably 2). I still think we've got enough to score as well though. Probably 2-2 again lol

We have statically the worst defence in the premier league over the last month or so and recently lost to a team who were in the relegation zone of the Polish league at the time. It’s fairly reasonable to be downbeat for this one IMO.

We will need to score 2 goals minimum just to draw if recent months are anything to go by. Wilson always has our number, Soyuncu is probably having flashbacks.

Can we score more than 2 against these? Sure. Suspect it’ll be another goal fest. Personally think it’ll be a draw.

Watching the last few matches, you can’t see a desire to win from some of our boys anymore. I’ve seen more heart from staff in bloody Tesco.

Nobody actually wants us to lose today. Some right holier-than-thou nonsense being posted on here.

I don’t really want the manager to go, but lose this and there will rightly be a reaction. Something has to give.

Let’s not start making excuses for them, we should be beating Newcastle.

I don't disagree. But it's made harder not having players available...

Just not their style of play…would be a lot of sending offs! :D

Given Rogers recent starting XI, Iheanacho would have been benched anyway (ludicrous IMO). Lookman, Vestergaard and Perez are shite anyway. When was the last time we saw Benkovic or Daley-Campbell get any minutes?

Will potentially effect our final 20 mins when it comes to subs. Nacho is probably our biggest problem when it comes to that.

Of course, I could be spouting absolute nonsense as I had my booster jab yesterday 😂😂
