Yeeeaaaah clean sheet. Hopefully a confidence booster for some of the games coming up. Newcastle are shit but could have still struggled today so far I play the them for the result today even at the end had 4 players around Wilson trying not to concede

I don’t want to say it’s all because of me, but others starting a match thread, we are shite and can’t defend, as soon as I start one we have a back line like early 90s AC Milan, and going forwards like 1970s Brazil.

Well this exceeded my wildest dreams or expectations after what we've seen recently. 

 

Against clearly the worst team in the league that will definitely be going down if anything less than 3 starting players arrive on January 1st, but even that seemed beyond our grasp last week. So... :appl:

Flattering scoreline as we weren't that good. But well deserved victory with a workmanlike performance and some key moments of class. And a clean sheet. 😁

 

Daka, Youri, Maddison and Thomas excellent. Great effort by KDH too. 

 

8th and 22 pts. Think that stops us being dragged into a relegation scrap.

 

Newcastle are gash though. They will gave to spend big. Vestergaard is available with Bertrand thrown in.

Hopefully a turning point in our season, not sure we really played that well but it was more than enough. Professional job done performance after a tough European trip and with a number of missing squad players. 

 

Confidence starting to flow again, first goal is crucial.

Clearly all we needed to do was not play Evans at the back or Vardy up front.

 

Who knew removing those two from the team would make us look more like our old self again?

 

We've done it against Newcastle, we now have to take this confidence boosting win and turn it into a run.

 

Keeping a clean sheet will hopefully have a huge positive psychological impact on our defence going forwards.

Not many premier league teams can take the moral high ground in respect of having squeaky clean funds or reputation, includiny us.

We worked hard, that was the key. Thomas and KDH particularly, and Soyuncu stepped up finally without Evans. Which gave the platform for the goals. They were awful, but ultimately we wanted it more. That was what we did in the last two seasons. Not all problems over, but much better.
