I was a bit concerned when they had to explain the "You need to go off the pitch off then come back on" rule to him about six times and he still looked puzzled!

I'm puzzled by it too. Never applied consistently!

What are the talking about, Salah literally dives. It's as much as a peno as madders was against Newcastle but don't tell me it was a stonewall

im thinking this. every angle ive seen shows that salah dives lol of course VAR was never going to overturn it

Me and my son played a game first half. Count how many times hamza plays the ball forward.  It was zero. Not once.  I don't know what he wants to be as a footballer, but he is not gonna make it anywhere with that kind of play.  Hamza should have been everything KDH has become. He needs a long hard look in a mirror.

He’s just not as good technically as KDH. He’s trying his best, he’s a very limited player but he’s doing ok today.

If we do take a point or more from this then it'll go down as one our best performances under Rodgers.

Feel like if Liverpool get one then they will hit 3 or 4 in the 2nd half. While we're holding on though, more and more doubt will creep in.

I have a sneaking suspicion we will see a classic Rodgers change that sees us collapse haha

Significantly better energy and intent. Reds look like a team that’s had a longer break than us.  Last fifteen we really came into it. If we can hold out for another 15-20, suspect Brendan will be tempted to get Youri on. Hamza probably the one to give way. For all Soumare’s limitations, Hamza has looked the weakest link, for me.

Tielemans was warming up in his kit over half time. On at 45 perhaps???

It was a stonewall.

A few things on the first half:

- Ndidi must now be the player who has given away the most number of penalties? Gosh he is reckless.

- Soumare has done nothing.

- Hamza has been ok defensively but he really needs to pass forward and early.

- Nacho should always start games. He is like a second no 10.

- We need Tielemans on for either Hamza or Soumare.

This is what I would do too! Need a bit more composure in the middle of the park.

It’s pretty damn blatant

Emma Hayes makes a much better pundit than Henry and Shearer.

Absolutely. Doesn't treat the viewer like an idiot and actually discusses tactics in detail. Really refreshing.

For soumare youd think. Wouldn’t take any of the legs out of that midfield(KDH/Hamza)

Kasper probably standing out the most.

Keep creating chances like we have and one of them will be put away.

Henry saying we should be 2-0 down. So just discount our good chances then?

I must have missed them

vardys blocked shot and madders cross come shot ?? We haven’t had a shot on target.

I think they’ve had far better chances (pen aside) and 2-0 wouldn’t be an issue

Come off it, stonewall pen. Ridiculously brain dead from Ndidi

The issue is he’s had a second bite.

If that was on one of ours I’d want a penalty tbh

How is Matip still on the pitch? Refs never give those neck-breakers for some reason, Kane has been getting away with them for years.

I must admit I'm not convinced he's done a 'Kane' there. Nacho's come flying in from a distance and kind of barged into Matip. I suppose only he knows if he meant it but didn't look clear cut to me.

Agree that it's such a dangerous thing to do though and should be punished more consistently

Need to get some width on the pitch. Trying to get through far too centrally at the minute.

Still playing it out from the back too much aswell. Lost it 4 or 5 times which will eventually prove lethal against these. Need to be smashing it up and try and hit them on the break.

Overall, we can't be upset with 0-0 at half time. We can do this.

Yeah they're still good chances in my eyes. Vardys shot must've been on target
