So frustrating, especially as we'd have just played Norwich, Everton and Burnley. Could have reshaped our season as we get some key players back.

A point vs this lot wouldn't be that bad all things considered.

I think we will get 5 points from these 3 games whether we played them now or later in the season, we struggle against the bottom half of the table teams.

We've 14 points from 6 games against the bottom 7 (Everton excluded as we haven't yet played them) that's 4 wins and 2 draws so far.

My favourite win over Spurs in recent years was the home win under Puel. Mahrez and Vardy scored two world class goals. As good as Vardy's goal v WBA was, I'm of the opinion that his Spurs goal was better.

Exactly, the potential of 2 or 3 wins would hugely push us up the table.

Hate to piss on your chips but 6 points would take us up a massive 2 places to a heady 8th and 3 would be 6th if no-one else played. 3 wins in a row would likely get us to 7th at best. 1 place per 3 points would be quite disappointing after what would be our best winning streak for a long long time.

still think we'll clinch a euro spot and run champions League close if we get our act together. Just a shit boring disjointed season and looking at the numbers has made me depressed. Could be a good end to the season though and able to come up quietly on the inside due to all the postponements.

Can't fault your optimism. It will take some doing to get into the Top 7 letalone CL spots. Yes we have games in hand but we have a weak squad (lots of injuries) and 2 games a week for near enough the rest of the season. We are probably staying roughly where we are come the end of season. If we had a fully fit squad I might agree with you. I hope we can get a good run in the cup competitions, in particular Europe.

So what's the team going to be?

Kasper

Castagne Soyuncu Vestergaard Thomas

Tielemans KDH

Lookman Maddison Barnes

Perez

Ward, Justin, Nelson, Choudhury, McAteer, Soumare, Albrighton

Is that about right? Is Daka back?

Daka should be back and Castagne is now out for a couple of months apparently. So Daka to lead the line and Albrighton at RB

Hopefully we get 30 minutes of Justin at right back.

Pleased Patson is back though. Could be vital.

Daka was apparently in the frame for Burnley so presumably will be available.

No news on Castagne - I mean, who knows what’s really going on with him? I’m not hopeful tbh.

Soumare was not available at the weekend, although I think that was chalked up to illness rather than injury so he might be back.

                         Schmeichel

Albrighton - Söyüncü - Vestergaard - Thomas

           Tielemans - Choudhury - KDH

          Maddison   -    Daka   -    Barnes

seems harsh on Lookman, but will be needed off the bench and as a rotation option given the amount of fixtures we’ll have coming up, potentially for Daka given we can’t afford to lose him to injury. With Castagne out for a while, would be great to get Justin back in and fit again. Soumaré could be an option if he’s fit again as well.

Edit: to add would be good to give JJ 30mins or so as he gets back up to speed with the pace of the first team

Look man should start ahead of Barnes.

I've not seen anything about Castagne being out for that long but would be typical of us at the minute for a dead leg to turn into a long term injury.
