Recharged?

Bloody hell, the pre season between the end of 19/20 and start of 20/21 seasons wasn’t much longer than since we played our last league game.

…that’s if this ones going ahead

Anyone broke a finger nail yet?

Ben Nelson, Marcal-Madivadua, Braybrooke, and Alves are playing for the under 23s tonight meaning they wont be in the squad against Spurs

VDC, Brunt, and McAteer are those who look like they will be in the squad against Spurs

Also no JJ in the under 23 squad tonight so looks like he will be in the squad against Spurs

So he only played 45 mins in his easing back in time ? Doesn't seem a lot does it?

Do you actually want the game to go ahead?

I'm not sure KDH was fit to start had the Burnley game gone ahead, so I think it was probably going to be 4-2-3-1 rather than the midfield diamond.

I also think vs a Conte wing back system we might refrain from the diamond again so I think KDH will be a sub and it'll be Youri and Hamza.

Not wishing to jinx it, but I'm feeling quite emotional about the idea of, I hope, welcoming JJ onto the pitch on Wednesday evening as a second half sub. Keeping everything crossed.

Coming back from best part of a year injured and your first match is a cold January midweek fixture…

What rumours?

The one who leaks team news to impress his FPL twitter buddies and usually gets it wrong anyway. Sam something or other.

Surely this will go ahead if we were going to go ahead with Burnley. We haven't played in the Premier league since 28th December another postponed fixture is just farcical.

I thought you must give the PL 48 hours notice which we've passed?

The Spurs v Arsenal game was called off on Saturday night, wasn't it?

However I can't see how this will be called off as we were happy to play on Saturday and there haven't been any reports of a new Covid outbreak in the squad...

I’ve noticed clubs have started announcing when they’re asking for postponement too, which hasn’t happened in this case.

I think we’ll play it and roll over for them (as usual under Brendan!).

Played 4 times under Rodgers, won 2 and lost 2. Not the best record but certainly not the worst.
