Yes sir

Oh wow! Mic drop moment!

This guy has got so much talent. Even ripped Real Madrid apart a few seasons back AND he’s a Brazilian player.

Would be an amazing signing. Think Rodgers would turn this kid into a world beater.

Can get a better look at him in training, and him being comfortable here could make any permanent future deal easier

And like CloudFox mentioned, it benefits Shakhtar and would also massively help out Tete himself

Even if we can't play him it would be a benefit to us, him, and possibly Shakhtar in the short term.

Also to be frank, this is a player who could / should be playing for a better club than us. The 5th placed / cup winning Leicester team sure, but not this seasons version.

Giving him a way out of a terrible situation  now with a friendly, no pressure environment is our way of selling the club to him. Experience the world class training academy and get familiar with the players and city. Hopefully then he wants to sign for us because in reality this guy would not look out of place as a first team starter for the likes of Milan, Napoli, Leipzig, etc.

There was a game against Real Madrid during COVID times where he tore them a new one. Really exciting player!

Have a bad feeling about him not being as good as what we think, gives me Under vibes, I don’t know why.

The thing I like most about him, other than his skill and trickery is off the scale is that he isn't a brainless take pot shots at every opportunity type of player. In fact he seldom shoots from outside the box, that was Ünder's main problem, he wasn't efficient at all.

Tete is still very raw, but he's got such ability and seems to have that bless of skill, work rate and decent strength that go up against physical opposition.

The fact that we get linked and Brentford shows the close statistical analysis that would been driving this, recruitment department led. Right winger, young and one would assume we will get better value for money if this was to happen - in whatever shape it transpires.

Can’t the authorities allowing game time in the U.K. league this season though.

Not sure that would be a issue, he not played since December because of the league winter break and the the war.

It would take a while to get up to speed, by the time he fit and ready to go the season will nearly be over.

it would just give him time to settle.

Seems similar to Douglas Costa, hopefully his career doesn’t go the same way.

That’s reassuring, admittedly I haven’t seen much of him, looks a good signing on paper just dunno why I have a few doubts he’ll fit in, young player though and right profile of what we need.

What’s he like out of possession? Is he a bit of a grafter as well? I’ve only seen clips and odd moments in Champions League games.

You've every right to be cautious as its Ukraine and how many have made the step from being successful there to a big 5 league? I'd say it's less than 50% success rate but Tete does look the real deal.

He's a modern forward, creative like an attacking midfielder by dynamic like the new sort of winger who can play anywhere across the attacking positions. He's high energy.

Shakter Donetsk are owned by Rinat Akhmetov, a proper Ukranian oligarch who, it is alleged, made part of his billions after inheriting much of the wealth of the previous owner, who died in mysterious circumstances at the Shakter stadium. Estimated wealth about 9 billion dollars. I suspect an extremely tough negotiator, to say the very least

Sounds like a sweetheart . What could possibly go wrong dealing with such people

I actually think it is ethically rather immoral to talk about poaching players from clubs which are unable to play for no fault of their own.

I think EUFA / FIFA ought to take a stand on this but I am sure they won't because they will do whatever the money men tell them to.

The players don't have very many choices. To throw in their lot with their Ukrainian team-mates, who are not allowed to leave the country and could be called up and asked to fight. Or ask to leave and play on loan, which guarantees that they won't be welcomed back by their team-mates when they return. Or ask their club to cancel their contract. I can't see any Ukrainian club agreeing to pay up the contract of a foreign player who wants out, when they have no money coming in for the foreseeable future. I think if I was director of football of a Ukrainian club faced with this request I would just tell the player to do one and walk out the door. With nothing in their pockets, just a free train ticket and whatever they can carry. Like the millions of other people who have fled the country.

....I would image there are stipulations in contracts that will cover this eventuality!!!

If the contract is terminated therefore the player would walk away without obligation. You can see it from the foreign players point of view, he has an extended family who would want to see him safe from harm and this is not his country. He may have made close friends (in this foreign country) but even these friends would wish him well, should he seek to get out of the country. As a human story we can see the reason for certain decisions to be taken but the ethical and moral dilemma really has no place in this human tragedy.
