We taking bets on what minute in added time Villa get a goal?

 

Rotation again then (unless you are Youri and KDH), same line up as Newcastle I expect

        Perez, Daka, Lookman

 

Would prefer if we tried a midfield of

 

Maddison, Mendy, Soumare

 

But seems like Rodgers would rather start Youri however poor he plays and just wants to run KDH into the ground, and no clue what is going with Bouba

Always a bit of an occasion against Villa. I reckon another draw, probably 2-2.

I think we'll actually go a bit old school in this one and concede first. What really will decide how the game goes is if Gerrard cacks his pants and goes defensive, or takes advtange and urges them to go and get a 2nd and possible 3rd.

Need a reaction. Villa will be tougher for sure. 

 

Youri should be dropped. At least just to rest him or let him know he's not invincible and can be taken out the squad. 

 

It's good we have the longer rest than usual to Thursday. Maybe Fofana and Evans will stay. Justin and Pereira as full backs?

Looking forward to seeing the new and creative ways we will inevitably find to **** this one up.

 

I fancy one of those games where we go behind earlier on and struggle like **** for an hour, bag a barely-deserved equaliser on the hour before losing it in the 94th.

 

Villa must be delighted they've got us next as they need the 3 points.

I hope we change the system. Maybe Daka and Ian up front?

 

Honestly, one of Youri or Kiernan needs dropping. Youri, cause he's been poor for a while, and Kiernan, cause he's been playing two games a week for ages now and he's starting to show fatigue.

I get we're trying to protect players but surely we have to get to a point where our preferred players can manage more than 1x 90 minutes every 7 days

We have to rest Tielemans and KDH imo, just not worth the risk. 

 

Even if it means Mendy and Choudhury together lol why the **** not. Iheanacho number 10 and Daka up top. Won't happen but they both need a partner.

Here’s the thing we end up consuming so much energy in these games when we don’t finish the opposition off early. Add to the pain of looking stressed in extra time. How is this style of game management efficient or energy conserving.
