He doesn't have to take a massive risk for it. Or he can just walk into a Champions League team right now. If he wants to be seen as a top manager then managing a top club is the next step. 1
Fox92 Posted 7 September 2022 Posted 7 September 2022 We can get Potter once Chelsea sack him. Great work by our board. 1 1
foxes_rule1978 Posted 7 September 2022 Posted 7 September 2022 Potter’s odds are now 1/5 to be next manager to leave…

Super_horns Posted 7 September 2022 Posted 7 September 2022 Sky say Potter has been given permission to talk to Chelsea . Maybe they have been talking to him before the sacking happened ?

Number 6 Posted 7 September 2022 Posted 7 September 2022 Doubt Potter would have got them into Europe this season - despite their start. Think they started strongly last season too and faded, which lead to him criticizing the fans there. Think he will go for it at Chelsea but still think he could have held on for England in 23. Not sure Chelsea will have the patience he may need.
StriderHiryu Posted 7 September 2022 Posted 7 September 2022 Rose going to Leipzig. The managerial merry-go-round begins... 1

The Horse's Mouth Posted 7 September 2022 Posted 7 September 2022 Potter at Chelsea is such an odd fit

Just grab the hottest thing at the moment and shit him out in a year. Brighton are well run though and will have a plan

Sampson Posted 7 September 2022 Posted 7 September 2022 (edited) Remember that evening Pearson went to Hull? Rumours started late afternoon, people laughed it off, then as the evening progressed and more information came out, more and more started crying, getting angry, some were still in denial. Until it was basically a done deal by that night. Was like watching all 5 stages of grief in one night in a complete meltdown on Leicester forums at the time. Imagine Brighton forums will be the same right now. Edited 7 September 2022 by Sampson
HybridFox Posted 7 September 2022 Posted 7 September 2022 I reckon Brighton will get Scott Parker for some reason

People commenting he won`t leave until his project is done Someone responded, "Isn't the Brighton project done?" Where else could they go? Not to a title, short hit and miss journey into Europe? Getting less and less likely with the recent financial changes/restricitons The shops is closed, so good managers at non-big-clubs have to move to progress I can understand why some of them might think he won't go but I can't see him turning the job down. Surely any manager worth their salt thinks they will be able to cut it, and he's bound to get a much bigger paycheck.
