After the 1st leg I was proud of our performance

I can’t say that tonight

Started poorly and deservedly fell behind (Set Piece again, not once this season have I seen a LCFC player attack the ball when defending a set-piece)

We created nothing

Never looked like getting back into it. We were honestly very poor and got the result we deserved.

Oh & yes, the ref performance was as bad as the Leicester players.

Cant argue with that mate, not a great performance from the team at all, really disappointed we didn't try harder just didnt look like happening at all 😭

Taking the emotion out of it, am I the only one that is proud that we controlled the game and looked the better team across two legs imo against a massive club. They had the nous, especially tonight, the diving, screaming bitching etc but I genuinely thought we tried and did play better football than Roma over the two legs. Could I ever imagine saying that sentence when I was a kid in the O'Neill days and obviously after that? Let's not forget how far we have come in such a short space of time.

I appreciate what you're saying and completely agree but tonight will still sting regardless of the long-term perspective. Let's hope we can qualify for something through the league or a cup next year.

Fair play to Roma as well, they were very well organised over the two legs and hope that they go on to win the final. Smalling and Abraham were both quality.

**** off hope they get absolutely pumped in the final cheating negative bastards

The depressing thing is, our possession play football is so stale. We're so boring.

Brendan needs to change it otherwise he'll be out midpoint next season.

I can’t see him getting that long?

I can't say we were poor. That kind of suggests we made loads of mistakes or totally failed to implement our game plan or something. But it wasn't even that, it was just nothing. The only thing of interest about that performance is precisely how uninteresting it was. Boring, spiritless, and uninspiring.

We were shocking. Yes, the officials were terrible but we were poor all over the pitch. The entire first half was littered with poor passes and terrible touches.

The second half was a little better but our passing was still shocking and Evans constantly miscontrolled it at the back.

The players bottled it. The game play didn’t work, the players didn’t perform regardless, and the officials were terrible.

Roma had one real chance and scored it.

Excellent level headed positive post. I do not accept so many negative passes though, too many touches on the ball, too much dithering, and Castagne on for Ricardo was strange when chasing the game. But otherwise love the post and the optimism.

Agree, we need to learn to move the ball much quicker if we want to continue this style of play. Ricardo was spanked, had a very tough game Vs their winger.

All you f..ck..so calling for Rogers to go, how many moaned when the team was announced???

It's not the team line up, it's the way we play, Vardy not even a sniff at goal, no service, slow build up, awful decisions in the final third, seriously we are so predictable, to lose from a goal, from a corner who would have predicted that, just about everyone who watched the match, and saw the smallest man in our team mark the tallest man in their team, it's just woefully disappointing to lose this way.

We should have started Perez on the right imo with one of those two on the bench for impact, but apart from that can’t fault Rodgers. We posed more threat in the second half but we couldn’t go gung-ho with their ability to break.

You can absolutely fault Rodgers. You could have given him the Real Madrid starting 11 tonight and his turgid tactics would see them passing around the back and running away from the opposition goal.

We have the talent in our squad, but appalling management.

Very frustrating watch. But alot better teams than us have had the mourinho treatment. Think the change in shape played into their hands in hindsight, but I'll be honest, I was all for the changes at half time. Ref had nothing to do with the result but if uefa want this competition taking seriously, they have to appoint refs who don't give decisions based on who appeals first

Luckily I don’t get paid to make that decision. But that was absolutely shocking tonight. We need a manager with some balls, who that is I don’t know, but I think Rodgers has taken this group as far as he can.

Slow build up play and no will to even try and break through Roma's back line, who in the first half looked open to play through.

Huge mistake by Rodgers sticking Ricardo on Abraham, in the end proved fatal.

Don't get me started on the ref.

In what world would it make sense to have their tallest player marked by someone six inches shorter? I'd noticed that at an earlier corner so it wasn't a one off.

You have to question Brendan pre game work. What is Ricky doing marking a 6ft 3 Abrahams. Surely he tells them who should be picking up who.

Having said they clearly outplayed in both games. Bigger, Stronger, tactically better prepared and more quality players.

We move on and look forward to the rebuild.

Cheers.

In before the rush.

It's time for a/to change now, for the club - we're petering out this season in a manner that simply isn't acceptable.  If all BR can offer is the same thing 'but better' rather then the change we need, then his position needs to change too, even if we need to be careful what we wish for :P
