Roma have everything we don’t. Aggression, strength, strong mentality, desire, willing runners and a set style of play.

Would love to have some of those Roma players wearing the Leicester shirt and giving their all, fighting for every ball.

Sorry but Roma did F all other than get lucky with an early goal (due to our own incompetence admittedly) and then say back on their lead.

I’m a bit concerned for us next year, we can’t defend or attack at the moment, and I sadly think it’s the end of the Vardy era. Can we replace his goals in this squad? I don’t think so.

It’s going to take an impressive transfer window to pull us back to being capable of what we could do 18 months+ ago. If anything, I think we are likely to come out of the window weaker, based on the contract situation of a few of our players.

A couple of things:

- Can’t blame Rodgers for team selection. At least he tried, but Barnes, Lookman and Vardy are not the right combination. Each one of them too far from one another and too isolated. Much better since Nacho came on but Perez should have come on much earlier as I mentioned before.

- The ref must be investigated. I don’t normally blame the ref but tonight is blatant. So many fouls against us not given but given to the other side. A number of clear corners and throw ins not given to us. He must not ref another European game.

- Jose got his tactics right against Vardy. He did not have a sniff as predicted. I wanted Nacho on.

- Seasons’ over. I will sign off now, disappointed. I may not come back for a few months.

It’s not their fault that the ref had a stinker.

Apart from paying him off? And throwing themselves over, time wasting and niggling at our players every occasion they could. **** Roma and their **** of a manager.

Hopefully something along the lines of “I’ll be asking Top for my P45 tomorrow”.

Genuinely though who do you think could come in and do you think in three seasons they can emulate two top 5 places and two trophies and two semi finals? I'm not arguing I'm just curious. I'm not happy with that display or most of this season, but surely he has earned next season at least? Btw Potter at Brighton would be my choice if that were to happen.

Looks like that cunning plan to play a weak team every week for the last 6 weeks and give away ten league points was a stunner……tactical genius

Can't wait for the Everton game: 4-0 to the Toffees

In what world would it make sense to have their tallest player marked by someone six inches shorter? I'd noticed that at an earlier corner so it wasn't a one off.

Crazy isn’t it, especially someone’s who has bagged that many goals, a fair few of those being headers.

Probably a good job.

Not going to slate Rodgers too much as to be fair the starting 11 was what I wanted and the half time changes to match them up and take off the inept Barnes and Lookman was sound.

However why have Ricardo marking Abraham on corners is a mystery. We clearly don’t rate Ricardo in the air as he stays on the half way line when we have corners ! It’s just that attention to detail which I think let’s Rodgers down at times.

Also compare Pellegrini’s corners to Maddison, ridiculous !

They also know their fans would kneecap them if they performed with any less intensity, especially in a European semi-final.

Meanwhile it still looks like we have a large % of fans who like to tolerate and applaud shit.  "We WErE iN lEAgUE 1"

Why oh why when we are in a good attacking position do we pass it sideways or back ?

simple answer, we have a team of cowards and nobody wanted to be responsible for losing the ball.

i’ve never seen a team look so terrified in all my time as a fan

We will never ever get to a European semi final again. ****ing gutted

We don't play enough direct football, we push the ball forward and then it's fcuking sideways, backwards, and then we lose the initiative and the attack fizzles out.

Yes we generally have a fair amount of possession but that means fcuk all if there's no end product.

Yeah, we did not do enough tonight but it has been a great journey. I am really not part of the perspective brigade but what fun Europe has been this season, endless memories and some great ties against established sides.

Disappointing tonight but a narrow 2-1 loss on aggregate against arguable European aristocrats. It’s hard to take tonight but just embrace and being thankful we have played in a European semi-final.

We will be back, I am sure.

Could've at least put Albrighton on instead of Castagne and chucked some balls in the box.

They were everything we are not though. Strong aggressive, experienced and organised. Played right into their hands, taking off both wide players was a mistake.

Are we in meltdown mode already with multiple calls for Rodgers out?

Personally I saw that as Mourinho 1, Brendan nil

We knew if they scored EXACTLY what Roma would do… and they did it

We had neither the tactical ability or firepower to break them down. I’m afraid the old tutor got it spot on

As for the fookin ref…. How on earth can we respect referees when we see shit like that?

I agree with the creativity. Tactically Jose made Brendon look an amateur. However, who do you believe can replace Brendon?.

We could have gone for that lad that’s turned Newcastle around if we moved 6 months ago

I'd like to agree, but "lacked a bit of guile"? That's what I was hoping after the first 45...then 60...then 85...

We've gone from scoring a fair few at the beginning of the season to not being able to create anything that will threaten the opposition goal. That's a big concern for me.

For me, the biggest issue here is youri.

I love the guy but he's been way out of sorts all season. Tonight he did ok but when was the last time he produced a pass that made you go wow? Previously his range of passing was incredible, his vision the best I'd seen in city blue. But I can't remember the last time I felt like that player was there, and not just playing it safe back and fore.
