We were poor. No doubt.

But I’m so angry. We could have played better, but my god the referring was atrocious. It’s hard enough when you play away to a team like Roma in a big stadium - but the very least you expect is a neutral official.

This is it. Sure, we didn't do as well as we could but nigh on impossible to get into a rhythm and have sustained pressure.

Officiating wasn't atrocious, it was just corrupt. Not other way of viewing it.

Make that 3 semi finals we should have won..this hurts though given the season is ultimately one big failure

Semi finals, league finishes, ugly football. Possession football is pointless is you do nothing with the ball.

The depressing thing is, our possession play football is so stale. We're so boring.

Brendan needs to change it otherwise he'll be out midpoint next season.

Get a fvcking grip.

Nope.

I, along with around 50% of Leicester fans have been advocating for them to go for months and months.

Rather than swear at people why don’t you justify keeping him and his cronies, trusting them with the rebuild?

Awful goal to concede, especially against Mourinho in a huge game. First shot on target 79 minutes, poor performances, perhaps bad selection too; Albrighton>Barnes. Not even going to mention the Ref, it's good for UEFA they have a big name in their curtain raise Final. Rome.

Big questions to ask of the squad and manager. Amartey getting on over Soyuncu says alot, if Cags has been laid into after Sunday he's not given the correct response to Rodgers. Tielemans anonymous. Can forgive Vardy, also anonymous.

May be a long time, if ever we get to this stage of a international competition. While I'm proud it's ultimately frustrating.

Taking off Barnes and Lookman wasn't a great descsion Roma tired in the second half last week and did the same here.

You have a plan stick to the ****er

The worst thing is Roma we're garbage!

Couple of chances in the 1st 10 mins and one in stoppage time, that was it.

We just can't create anything, we really need a plan B.

63% possession though, we all know who the real winners are!

Most predictable performance ever. I'm totally uninspired by these lot and Rodgers. Could be the last European cup involvement for some time and that was all we could muster up. Did Vardy even touch the ball.

Season done.

Not the best but certainly not as bad as most on here are making out. Everyone was praising the starting line up in the pre match thread but suddenly Brendan ****ed it???

Set piece again was our downfall but we were the better of the two teams over the 90. It doesn't win you games but to say we we didn't try is blue tinted emotion if ever I've saw it.

I remember the MON days, foxes never quit, a team that showed alot of fight. They never even reached a European semi.

Roma defended very well, classic mourinho. The wide players were largely ineffective in the first half, Barnes could hardly get a touch. But BR changed it up and went 3-5-2. We looked better but Roma parked the bus.

**** me it wasn't our best performance, I'm disappointed, but we lacked a bit guille in the final third, not effort or desire.

Taking the emotion out of it, am I the only one that is proud that we controlled the game and looked the better team across two legs imo against a massive club. They had the nous, especially tonight, the diving, screaming bitching etc but I genuinely thought we tried and did play better football than Roma over the two legs. Could I ever imagine saying that sentence when I was a kid in the O'Neill days and obviously after that? Let's not forget how far we have come in such a short space of time.

Shut up. Ref played for them all night. Should have had a stonewall pen, several throw ins, freekicks and corner calls completely wrong.

What's the point in VAR if you can get that corner decision near the end absolutely ****ing wrong!

Everytime we got any rythem the ref made sure it was disturbed by allowing consistent fouls and bad calls.

Tough game, teams matched completely, very tactical battle in the middle of the park. Controlled large parts of the game, just couldn't find that killer pass. Once they had a goal, we were never beating the 11 man wall.

Positives to take, but gutted to have no European football next year. Hopefully it'll give us a chance to go again next season and aim for Europa League.

Excellent level headed positive post. I do not accept so many negative passes though, too many touches on the ball, too much dithering, and Castagne on for Ricardo was strange when chasing the game. But otherwise love the post and the optimism.

I can't say we were poor. That kind of suggests we made loads of mistakes or totally failed to implement our game plan or something. But it wasn't even that, it was just nothing. The only thing of interest about that performance is precisely how uninteresting it was. Boring, spiritless, and uninspiring.

See I disagree completely. I think it was a very interesting tactical battle. I think we played well, just needed to move the ball quicker to put their defence under pressure more. Several times we got ahead of steam it was disturbed by strange decisions or foul play.

Very typical Italian football match tbh. Slow, tactical, chess like. A bit like the Euros final in all honesty.

To be fair, Roma only had 2 attempts on goal across both matches. They scored them though.

True, but they did what they needed to do. We failed to ask any serious questions of a very ordinary Roma team. Shocking! Particularly given our return to the European stage may be a very long time coming.
