I think 6th-7th and a good run in the League or FA Cup.

Arsenal spent around £150mil last summer and likely will again. Who knows what Newcastle will spend:

Reality is we are going to struggle to compete financially when we have to take 15% off our wage bill to revenue over the next 2 seasons, especially without European money coming in.

I don't feel there's necessarily an answer for this in the poll.

Europa League qualification is our target for the foreseeable future. I don't think "top half" is enough but top four is probably unrealistic.

Was going to say the same.

I'd be happy with pushing top 6, went with winning a cup as top 6 wasn't an option..

Anyone demanding we challenge for top 4, depending on what they define has challenging, is asking to be disappointed.

That’s my view too. I voted winning a cup too as pushing the top 6 isn’t there.

I think people saying pushing top 4 are being unrealistic and setting themselves up for disappointment.

Too many are really sleeping on our issues with our wage bill and these new UEFA rules coming in are going to massively affect what we can really do in the summer transfer window.

Domestic cup and/or top 6/7.

Other teams strengthening which will make league top 6 challenge difficult. However no European football will be of advantage to us.

Think we can give ourselves a good go at League Cup and/or FA Cup. We have the quality to succeed in both.

I do wonder how it will be with the World Cup mid-season. How that might disrupt the flow of the season. Would the season be cramped again?

Top 6 finish. We have the money, the backing and the players to do it. A couple of clever additions and we can achieve it.

That said, we need the best out of our squad to make it a reality and we have to go back to using our strengths to our advantage. I don't believe we can do it with BR at the helm. I really think he has taken us as far as he can.

Top 4 should be the aim.
Man City and Liverpool are a step above, the rest could go any way. Chelsea could be in disarray with their situation, Ten Hag could be a disaster, Arsenal and Spurs will have European football to contend with.  There’s possibilities there. Of course it could go the other way entirely and all of those get drastically stronger, but the aim should be the top 4, and we adjust expectation as the season goes on.

Or 17th and a trophy.

For me, it's either winning a trophy or finishing top 7. I'd take finishing 12th if we won a cup, those are the days you remember as a fan.

That being said, I can't see it happening. I'd be surprised if we finish top half next season.

I think we need to be taking the FA cup and league Cup seriously and finish 7th and above. We should be aiming to be the best team outside the traditional top 6 and better than the west ham and wolves of the PL.

Top 4 is not really achievable in my opinion, Europa League and Europa Conference is where we should be aiming.

Unfortunately we've squandered our chance to establish a gap between ourselves and other mid table clubs in the last couple of transfer windows.

For as poor as season as he has had, we are likely losing a difference maker in Tielemans and a few of our star performers from the last couple of seasons have struggled to reach levels after injury, or just plain regressed. Plus father time will start catching up with Vardy, who has been a real differentiator between us and the rest. No other side outside the top clubs has had a striker as prolific as him.

I suspect we won't have a top 8 budget on transfers.

Against that backdrop, to end up "pushing top 4" will be a massive success. 7th or 8th and a cup run would seem reasonable.

Start this again pre season when the Manager can do some dealing.

Hopefully  they will know our deficiencies, like most opposition  managers do!
