Hes an awful player, an absolute bum. The fact Ndidi was playing cb instead of him at times last season shows how much hes thought of

Replace Amartey with Vestergaard? Sounds like the footballing equivalent of moving deckchairs around on the Titanic.

I don't disagree with either comment. Only that what we're doing isn't working so we need to find a way to get a result.

Well he showed nothing at Stockport to indicate that he is the answer to our problems

He was better than his defense partner.

He really isn't - he's just an awful fit for the way we play under Brendan.  On a side that plays a deep line where his lack of pace is less exposed (like Denmark, which is why they keep picking him, and they're good enough to fare decently internationally) he's quite decent.

I think it’s more down to his strengths not suiting our system. Having said that I think he was signed to replace Evans. Last year I don’t think he had a pre season and he looked a true donkey, and can only assume as others have said he must be awful in training.

He’s just not suited to a state of football that means we need to press with a high line.

He’d have been perfect alongside Wes, Huth etc in 15/16

He's dreadful in the air for his size, he wouldn't have coped with that pressure on him.

I still can't understand why we signed this guy Rodgers system has never suited him and never will. I'm scratching my head as  to the sheer incompetence of it all🤷🏻‍♂️

Does a different system mean you cant win a header when youre 6ft6 then? Or know how to do the basics in defending like winning a tackle?

Denmark doesn't keep picking him because they're stupid or they want to lose.  In the right system he's effective.  We aren't the right system.

Scored the winning pen against Stockport 👀

Vesty finished the pen with a cultured left foot reminiscent of teammate Dewsbury-Hall too!👍🏻

...or the cause of them. He was ok against unambitious league two opponents

Moyes must read stuff in the press about Rodger’s  woes at the club and our disgruntled fans fretting about relegation and think “ hold my beer”
