If you were in a job earning a good salary, but you were not wanted and everyone was against you.. you would move as it would slowly grate you down.

Firstly, I don't think everyone is against him, I don't for one minute think he's having to survive in a toxic atmosphere. He's allegedly on 75,000 a week, I think I could well cope with that for another 12 months or so. There again I'm not the sort to allow myself to be bullied in the workplace and would do my damndest to make other people's life a misery and get retribution if they tried. I think the worst thing that will happen to Vestergaard is he won't get a game.

Would be a loan covering half his wages at best, Valencia haven't got a pot to p**s in.

They just bagged a lot of money from selling Guedes.

I know I'm swimming upstream with this.

Anyway here goes. Vestergaard has been a Danish international since 2013 and played 35 games for his country along side Kasper, who I assume, would have been consulted as to his ability.

Between 2018 and 2021, he played for Southampton 72 times, again, someone must have thought he had something going for him.

I would like to see the guy given a run of games with Evans along side Soyuncu to see if he can get his confidence back that he once must have had.

I understand that his game isn't the Rodgers game but there's the rub!

You're asking for something that's simply not going to happen though, more chance of us playing 2 up front or moving the kop and the family stand. Vestergaard has serious limitations, we all knew that. He was horrifying at Southampton until they changed the way they played and he then had a much better 6 month period but their fans did not trust him or want their team to be set up purely to protect his inability to run or keep attackers at bay who are allowed any space in behind.

We'd have to go to a back 3 and/or defend with a low block, something we have seldom done under Rodgers except when setting up to shit house the big 6. So there's absolutely no point trying to be positive about Vestergaard here or sticking up for him that he can't be that bad because he's wholly unsuitable for us and the Premier League in general.

The club is in millions of euros of debt: there is absolutely zero chance they will spend money on Vestegaard.

Owners are also a basket who will probably sell up soon.

They've only signed Hugo Duro this summer for £3.5m after a successful loan spell.

I’d wager everyone who reads this would stay and take the 80k in plush working conditions at Seagrave. You’re lying to yourself if you think you’d leave world class facilities on big money for less pay, worse conditions, and probably more responsibility/pressure than he has with us.

I think that is quite a sad indictment.  That money is the only factor in a person's professional life.

If I were JV I would absolutely want to leave.  How much front would you need to keep turning up for work knowing that your bosses don't rate you and don't want you?  What about professional pride?  A footballer's career is a short one and I would not want to spend it on the bench picking up a pay cheque, especially when you're a zillionaire anyway.

I wish he was playing today…..

For Southampton.

Seriously, say’s he is fully committed to Leicester and wants to fight for his place.

Commendable, but extremely unlikely.

Just a historical point, but weren’t we linked with him before he went to Southampton?

Yes for some reason we pursued him for a couple of transfer windows at least

The offers so far have been from clubs that are odds on for relegation, he’s just trying to secure his premier league survival.

A quick look at the table says he should have gone to either of them then.

He's here and we can't get rid of him at present. We're losing games anyway, so why not play him and give him a chance to redeem himself.

I'd play him against Utd. At least he'd win Headers in the box. We're not clearing anything that comes into the box lately.

Isn’t that one of the problems with him that, even though he is so tall, he fails to win headers.

Because we need to force him out the club so he will leave, hence not giving him a chance

No I don't think so, It's more that he cant move quick enough. But with BR packing the box now it might suit him better.

He may come back reinvigorated with all the negative press especially with the World Cup coming up. But we just don't know until we give him a few games. They're games we're likely to lose anyway Utd, Spurs. Newcastle. So there's little to lose, We're after giving Amartey a run and that hasn't quite worked out. So why not Vesty now.

After this week he cant leave until January.

If he doen't play in the world cup which I'm sure it's his hope then he's no incentive to leave in January either.

Can only assume he has been given information that he won’t be involved in Qatar - hence no need to move away from his nice wage and v comfortable training ground.

I suspect its the opposite, he sensed he didn't need to play regularly last season for us and was still picked by Denmark. He'll look to do another year here of nothing and still play in the World Cup and then look for a new club in the summer where we agree to subsidise his wages for a year to take him up to the end of his contract here.

Hes an awful player, an absolute bum. The fact Ndidi was playing cb instead of him at times last season shows how much hes thought of

That's exactly the point I've just made. No WC no incentive to leave. He's here, we're struggling so why not throw him in and see what happens.

He might give it a real go after the stick he's taking.
