What an absolute tosser he looks every time he does it. Funny what bugs people. So many things about modern football annoy me, such as simulation, argy bargy at corners and the sheer corruption within the game, but I couldn’t give a toss about goal celebrations. 2
Finnegan Posted 27 March Posted 27 March I just cringe at any footballer with a trademark goal celebration tbh. Certainly doesn't make me angry, just makes them look like a complete dork.

Better that than the choreographed ones that one or two players do between themselves because you just know that they spent time in training going over it.
LCFCJohn Posted 27 March Posted 27 March It occurs to me that the last time I watched even a single minute of an England game was the 2024 euros final. I literally have zero enthusiasm for this upcoming tournament. It’s the 3rd World Cup in a row going to a country (US not Canada and Mexico) who shouldn’t be hosting such a major event. Add to that the kick off times which are crap for someone like myself who is an early riser for work. I thought was the hosts were announced it’d be a decent tournament but now we are here, I will be giving it a miss.

All 3 sets of fans are top notch and a great laugh. They'd have been there in huge numbers. The WC is worse off without them. Very bad news for the UK hostelries. They really needed all of the home nations to qualify during these tough times.
Danizen Posted 29 March Posted 29 March Looking at the outright odds. You can get Curacao and Haiti 5000/1 and I wish I could say I'm not tempted... I'll probably stick £20 on France at a more realistic 8/1.

Super_horns Posted 31 March Posted 31 March Apparently Ghana who England face in the WC have sacked their manager after two recent friendly defeats .
CWC1983 Posted 31 March Posted 31 March Friendly in Liverpool v Ivory Coast tonight. Looking forward to seeing Evertons ground, assuming the hangover from last night eventually wears off.
Aus Fox Posted 31 March Posted 31 March Just got back from Australia 5 - 1 Curaçao, and I’ve got to say I don’t know how Curaçao have qualified for the World Cup, that was an abysmal performance against a not fantastic Australian side. I think they’ll prove to be the worst side ever to play at a World Cup. id back the Germans to put on double figures when the tournament starts
Super_horns Posted 31 March Posted 31 March Speaking of world cups in the USA I remember this guy from the last one . Had a wig I think ? Boris Mihaylov who captained Bulgaria side and then later played here for Reading died aged 63 https://x.com/i/status/2038926860592042482
Parafox Posted 31 March Posted 31 March (edited) Japan are a decent side. I'd quite like to see them do well Edited 31 March by Parafox
RonnieTodger Posted 31 March Posted 31 March Sweden about to qualify, having got 2 points in their group
MC Prussian Posted 31 March Posted 31 March Aaand Turkey are back at a World Cup for the first time in 24 years. Quite the showing in 2002.
