Congratulations on 18 years anniversary, quick google for 2004 shows that Facebook is the same age, YouTube and Reddit wasn’t created yet and households was still using dial up internet

Lots of forums don’t make it very far so it’s a great achievement. Through FT I’ve met some of my best mates and by next year, I’ll have been a member for the majority of my life

18 years is incredible: the amount of time and effort needed to moderate, to keep updated and deal with any legal/admin issues and for little personal gain can't be underestimated - and yet it brings so many benefits to so many people and can bring a whole community together. So congratulations & a big thanks for all that effort.

 

To think the Snug Fox didn't even make it to its first birthday!

Me too, 1st thing in the morning is BBC Sport, News, FT, LCFC Newsnow, in the first 30 mins of the day.

Big Up for all the Admin & Mods etc. and every poster, funny, blinkered etc.

As I WAH it keeps me in touch with the world and replaces the "office banter" on so many fronts.

Thanks to all who support and upkeep it and Happy Birthday, 1 year older than my daughter who's birthday was also this week.

There was some champagne and a cake for you but it was a long queue at the post office, I felt a bit thirsty and peckish, so, hic, the inevitable happened.

 

Out of curiosity what were the hot topics in day / year one? Ye olde pre stand-switching and missing inflatables era?
