Ward or Iversen?

I was hoping Danny Ward would do well, but despite a few decent saves, he really doesn’t inspire confidence.

Agreed, but I was disappointed in a 1 on 1 that he didn't make himself bigger enough.

 

His arms are down by his side and he flaps at the ball.

 

Maybe it's from watching kasper over the years making himself big in those occasions

I feel a bit sorry for them both. It’s kind of like asking if we should have replaced mahrez with Albrighton or Riccy P..

It never made any sense to me Ward was picked over Iversen in the first place, now we’re in a difficult situation because the pressure on Iversen would be immense and dropping Ward potentially destroys any confidence he has left. With how well Iversen had performed last season I simply can’t understand the decision not to give a  keeper with the potential to improve the nod over a player who has sat on the bench for 4 years and never once threatened to become number 1. 

 

 

These sort of comments were not uncommon from Preston fans.

Think Brendan did sign Ward in 2012 when he was at Liverpool

I knew we’d miss Schmeichel and was arguing with plenty on here who were wanting a change in goal.

But I didn’t imagine Ward would be this bad. 
His positioning in relation strikers running in on goal is appalling. They almost can’t miss

I initially voted Ward as I thought he deserved his chance after being second to Kasper for so long but I've changed my mind!

Any chance Karius could come he's more experienced?, okay he failed at Liverpool but he's a better keeper than Ward / Iversen.

Signed for Liverpool the winter before Brendan. And that was 10 years ago.

 

Turns out Ward's 3rd game for Liverpool was this one.

If you are trying to get yourself sacked then it would be an absolute no brainer to play Danny Ward🤔.

Brighton players were taking shots from all over the place, even from a corner because they knew he was a mess. He should really declare himself as unfit to play.

 

He has had some decent games for us though hasn’t he? I just think the pressure was too much

Unbelievable how we’ve ended up with Danny Ward as number  1  if we knew Kasper wanted to move on
