SemperEadem Posted 9 February 2023 Posted 9 February 2023 Southampton, Bournemouth and West Ham would be a touch in terms of losing some very boring aways. Beggers can't be choosers but Wolves could happily clear off for me too.
Ric Flair Posted 9 February 2023 Posted 9 February 2023 Still way too early to call all of this, it's tighter than I can recall most seasons. What I hope is we have another decent run to counteract the 4 game losing streak we had after the World Cup to put us only a few wins away from 40 pounts with 8-9 games of the season to go. That would make it feel far more comfortable, but that might not be how it goes. 1

An Sionnach Posted 9 February 2023 Posted 9 February 2023 There will be no game where we can relax. Our players have the ability but they have to be prepared to fight for every point. They won't get too much help from Rodgers and his notebook , its all down to them. 3
Nolucklcfc Posted 11 February 2023 Posted 11 February 2023 You’d hope if we can play like that or even half like that every week, we’ll be alright.
ithuriel Posted 11 February 2023 Posted 11 February 2023 Two games I was not expecting points from before the Villa game was played, six collected, if we can stay injury free we should survive now because we look a totally different team.
Aus Fox Posted 11 February 2023 Posted 11 February 2023 Just a little gap starting to fall into place between Southampton and Bournemouth and the rest. It would be great if Man Utd and Liverpool could show up this week and leave the bottom 5 a little bit adrift. For us, all of a sudden we are closer to the top 10 than we are the bottom 3. Two tough games coming up, but once we get through these two, only Man City In the last 14 I think wouldn’t fancy us getting anything from. 1
Popular Post MattFox Posted 12 February 2023 Popular Post Posted 12 February 2023 6 points from two games almost everyone has down as defeats at the start of January 5
Leicester_Loyal Posted 12 February 2023 Posted 12 February 2023 Bit of breathing space and a much better GD as it stands. Get 2 or 3 points from the next two games and we’ll be flying.
Gazza M Posted 12 February 2023 Posted 12 February 2023 Can still see the wheels falling off at Forest but I wouldn't bet against Palace being sucked in to it yet. So appart from Southampton who look gone, anyone else could go yet in the bottom 8 yet. 1
The Bear Posted 12 February 2023 Posted 12 February 2023 Palace should definitely drop to 15th at the very least in the next couple of weeks. They are only two points above that and still have a tough fixture list to come.
Suzie the Fox Posted 12 February 2023 Posted 12 February 2023 16 points needed with 16 games to go, to reach the magic 40
Lcfc-1992 Posted 12 February 2023 Posted 12 February 2023 5 wins and a draw from 16 sounds easy enough
Paninistickers Posted 12 February 2023 Posted 12 February 2023 We are a team almost entirely reliant on confidence. I'd back us in most games, including the tough 3 upcoming, so long as we are on a streak. Clearly it works the other way too. However, right now, we do look capable of pulling out results when we need to. Palace are woeful. Forest have had every dollop of luck going this season and surely that's gonna dry up. West Ham look painfully poor. Personally, I have a sneaky feeling Bournemouth are not half as bad as their results suggest. I think they are due a couple of results.
Stevosevic Posted 12 February 2023 Posted 12 February 2023 Play like that and there’s no way we do down. We’re full of goals when we want to be. We’ll be fine. Got some huge home games remaining so if turn up in those we’ll be well clear.
majaco Posted 12 February 2023 Posted 12 February 2023 We are still trouble. But we should get out of it. We should be targeting much more than 40 points.
TrickyTrevLeftPeg Posted 12 February 2023 Posted 12 February 2023 Can see us being on 52 points come end of season

BigGibbo Posted 12 February 2023 Posted 12 February 2023 (edited) Think those 3 signings (3 out of 3 good and what we needed for the first time in Rodgers' tenure) have done enough to keep the dream alive. If we can ride this wave for another month that should take us to a point where the 3rd worst team won't be able to catch us. Edited 12 February 2023 by BigGibbo Errant apostrophe eradication to appease Nod.E. 😂

That would mean we'd pretty much have to win 12 of 16 games remaining just to even hit 60. We'll inevitably draw a couple. We can beat anyone on our day especially with this new confidence but we still have some big sides to play. Anything around 50-55 is achievable and would be a good second part of season.
