lee7 Posted 2 September 2022 Posted 2 September 2022 I'd go... Iversen Faes Evans Justin Albrighton Ndidi Dewsbury-hall Barnes Maddison Iheanacho Vardy/Daka Never going to happen but i am sick of seeing the same players with the same end results so i'd rather Rodgers try something completely different. 1
Fightforever Posted 2 September 2022 Posted 2 September 2022 (edited) My line up personally would be Iversen Justin Faes Soyuncu Albrighton Soumare KDH Castange Maddison Iheanacho Daka Iversen in because Ward has made too many mistakes now and Iversen deserves a chance. Ward had a run of games and ****ed it up. Justin at CB because despite the game today Evans has declined this season and Justin has done well for us in a back three before. Soyuncu is obviously better than Amartey at this rate we should give Soyuncu a go. Albrighton is a good wing back in a 3 at the back formation as he was under Pearson. Justin behind him can be like James in a back 3 at Chelsea where he comes foward sometimes to wreak havoc. Soumare and KDH have enough graft between them to win the ball back as we saw today and failing that we have 5 defenders. Daka and Iheancho have combined really well together. When we do get a new manager don't be shocked when these two in a duo do very well. My only reservation with this formation is if there is enough leadership at the back. Faes is promising in this regard since he was a captain at Anderlecht in his youth days and is a natural leader but I don't know if he can do that straight away. Castange can come out for Barnes if we need to chase a game with 5 subs. Bringing on Vardy, Barnes and Praet to chase a game could really play into our hands too. Outside of our shitty defence we still have a top 6 squad imo not all is lost yet. We just need to find a way to sort the defence and I reckon we will be back. Lambert09 Posted 2 September 2022 Posted 2 September 2022 (edited) i’d rather we didn’t play them at their own game tbh. We won’t win that match up. 4231 for me with nacho and daka. we are going to pay for not getting a new winger in. Edited 2 September 2022 by Lambert09
Daggers Posted 2 September 2022 Posted 2 September 2022 If Rodgers is still within 50 miles of the squad I won’t even be bothering with a radio broadcast. I'm truly at the stage where I want nothing but humiliating loses so it forces the board to sack him. I don’t care about whines ‘Oh go and support Derby then’, you win, you’re better supporters. Well done. There’s a cancerous lump in the club and it need cutting out. 3

Agree that Justin was terrible tonight, as he has been since the start of the season. Indeed, since he came back from injury he's been nowhere near the same player. Mind boggling that Timmy got dropped instead of him.
fox_favourite Posted 2 September 2022 Posted 2 September 2022 (edited) Meh. Another loss, another embarrassment. 3-1. must win game that we won’t. Can’t even be positive anymore. Premier league…it’s been fun. Edited 2 September 2022 by fox_favourite

I thought he struggled because he was always out numbered. Needs to improve his attacking play, granted but he did well to cover the whole right 2

Guest Bilo Posted 2 September 2022 Posted 2 September 2022 With Rodgers: 2-0 defeat. With caretaker boss: 1-1 draw.
splinterdream Posted 2 September 2022 Posted 2 September 2022 Ward Castagne faes Evans Justin Albrighton Kdh Maddison Barnes Nacho Daka Ward Faes Evans Cags Castagne justin Soumare KDH Maddison Nacho Daka
ARM1968 Posted 2 September 2022 Posted 2 September 2022 Don’t want to lose any game, but we will lose this I’m sure, unless Rodgers wakes up, dunks his massive nose in the coffee and snorts it up. We can all see the issue with team setup and selection. Vardy needs support. Maybe even a rest. Put Daka and Kel up front and work round it. Let them play. Take the shackles off and send them out to find the joy in football again. 1
21st Century Fox Posted 2 September 2022 Posted 2 September 2022 Rodgers has gone full Colonel Kurtz. He'll be sat in a steamy dressing room wearing a necklace made of ears... he'll also probably play the exact same line-up as he has zero interest in saving his job or our season. 1

FoxesWalk Posted 2 September 2022 Posted 2 September 2022 Faes to smash in a hat trick of own goals on his debut and cost Rodgers his job, instantly becoming a cult hero 1 1

reynard Posted 2 September 2022 Posted 2 September 2022 Well let's see. Brighton have decent players, can pass to each other and can generally play decent and attractive football. We on the other hand are the exact opposite of them. We'll basically be passed off the pitch and our useless defence will concede at least twice and we'll create next to nothing but look ok passing it sideways a few times until we give away possession. We play with no identity, no soul, no quality and no confidence. And we no longer score either. Brighton to win easily.
LFEFox23 Posted 2 September 2022 Posted 2 September 2022 Iversen Ndidi Evans Faes Castagna Albrighton Mendy Youri Madders Vardy Nacho Might be a bit narrow but after Barnes performance last night & literally having no other winger options
escape2victory Posted 2 September 2022 Posted 2 September 2022 Ward Justin Evans Faes Castagne Ndidi Soumare Thomas Maddison Barnes Daka
RowlattsFox Posted 2 September 2022 Posted 2 September 2022 Ward Castange Faes Evans Justin Ndidi Tielemans Albrighton Maddison Barnes Iheanacho I would go with Iversen but Ward won't be dropped yet, have to see what Faes is about and on paper that is our 'best defence' Harsh on Soumare maybe but I want Ndidi/Tielemans back together at that base of midfield, Youri is spending too much time inside right in the current formation, need him picking the ball up and passingf forward to Maddison centrally. It's Albrighton time again, comes around every so often because everyone else is shit. But at least he plays with energy and urgency. We can't get a front 2 in unless we drop Maddison or play 3 at the back. I don't want to do either. Not a fan of Iheanacho on his own but he can link with Maddison well at times and he can't be any worse than Vardy right now. I think Daka's running is perhaps better suited but can't see him starting. Vardy has been rubbish and can use the quick turnaround in fixtures an excuse to drop him. 1
