JimmyC74 Posted 3 September 2022 Posted 3 September 2022 Would be tempted to go back to 5-3-2 as when we won the cup. Iversen Castagne JJ sideshow bob Evans Ndidi KDH Madders Youri Kels Daka (Vards from 60). we need to create more in the final third and please start testing the keeper - Kels, Daka and Madders to take the game to them and Vards as an impact sub. 1
Vindaloo FOX Posted 3 September 2022 Posted 3 September 2022 Iversen Faes Evans Soyuncu Albrighton Soumare KDH Castagne Maddison Barns Daka
Fox1980 Posted 3 September 2022 Posted 3 September 2022 Scenes an hour before kick off when the teams are announced and Amartey starts at CB with Faes and Cags on the bench 1

Pliskin Posted 3 September 2022 Posted 3 September 2022 Another easy home win. 3-0, followed by “I thought we had good moments in the game, I thought we played well for 60 minutes. We got ourselves into some good areas but lacked quality when we arrived there. I needed help in the summer but it didn’t arrive, we are working hard on the training ground”. 1 1
Happy Fox Posted 3 September 2022 Posted 3 September 2022 We are on track to get 8 points if this form continues we really need a win even if we win , Rodgers needs to go!!!! The only distraction is Rodgers. Don’t fall for his rhetoric.

Tweaked for you. Can guarantee this is exactly what will be said.
purpleronnie Posted 3 September 2022 Posted 3 September 2022 Surely if we lose this one that's the end of Rodgers.
Chelmofox Posted 3 September 2022 Posted 3 September 2022 (edited) Betfair exchange has us 6/1 to win this. This should be a tough but winnable game, but because mini mourinio has gone full on strop rather than doing the job he's employed to do, we go into this as a frazzled mess low on confidence. Despair he's not gone. Could have gone into this and Villa game with a new manager bounce that at least gave the team confidence even if we didnt get a result. This club is winding the clock down waiting for the inevitable, and missing opportunities for results along the way. Edited 3 September 2022 by Chelmofox 2

Tielemans can’t start because he been so bad for over a year and Soumare give us that added physicality and forward runs with the ball which we’re in massive need for. Barnes needs to start for Vardy too, Barnes has been our best player this season and works nice 1-2’s with Nacho. I’d like to see Iversen in for Ward too but the other two take much more priority for me.

I am pretty sure he would like the sack now while he can seize the narrative and blame the club. However the astute businessman that is Rodgers will also want the absolute maximum payoff. Ouch! the board are scared stiff of that. 1
taupe Posted 3 September 2022 Posted 3 September 2022 Can't see Faes starting, too soon, though I am eager to see him play. I think there has to be some new thinking about the shape of attack (we need to talk about Vardy) I'm not sure what that means in practice. Perso, I'm going to be paying close attention to what Rodgers says after the match, particularly if we don't get a result. I'm teetering on my fence post and words of blame will be enough to push me off (again)
Jonezy Posted 3 September 2022 Posted 3 September 2022 Really want revenge for VAR gifting them 3 points last season. Seriously still makes me rage that ref and VAR performance. But have absolute no belief in Rodgers and the team at the moment.
Buzzell Posted 3 September 2022 Posted 3 September 2022 Ward Justin Amartey Evans Castagne Ndidi Tielemans Barnes Maddison Perez Vardy As much as I would love to see two up front, Iverson between the sticks and Faes to start, I very much doubt Brendan will make too many changes from his usual system.
suffolk fox Posted 3 September 2022 Posted 3 September 2022 Just hope Sideshow Bob is given the chance to play knowing Rogers he will be on the bench and bloody Armatey will start next to Evans.
Claudio Fannieri Posted 3 September 2022 Posted 3 September 2022 I honestly think Rodgers will be bloody minded and go with the following - Ward Justin Amartey Evans Thomas Soumare Tielemans KDH Madders Barnes Vardy

Silva Fox Posted 3 September 2022 Posted 3 September 2022 Just realised this is on Sky. Normally that would have been a good thing but I know it's just likely to result in more personal misery!
Foxxed Posted 3 September 2022 Posted 3 September 2022 Brendan starts Amartey, puts Faes on the bench and Soyuncu isn't even the squad. Brendan Rodgers, a brilliant motivator.
